"Father, didn't you kill Roy before?" Prince Drogo questioned his father with surprise.
"No, son, I didn't. I imprisoned him in a secure location, but it seems he's found a way to escape," the king responded solemnly.
"Your Majesty, I believe my former mentor has returned," Morata, the royal wizard said as he came running.
He had once been Roy's apprentice.
People in Gemlike stage could sense every individual's aura, they sensed Roy's.
"Morata, gather four capable individuals to embark on the quest for the gemlike power in the forest. We need reinforcements, as time moves differently there. Their four days equal our two. Send them immediately, and they'll return in two days' time," the king instructed urgently.
"But wouldn't it be to too late to save the kingdom by the time we return?" Drogo asked his father looking astonished.
"Don't worry my son" King Archibald said as he placed his right hand on Drogo's left shoulder "it takes 6 days to successfully remove all the magic from the jewel that holds Gemland's power"
"You are right my king" Morata interjected
"Before he successfully takes the magic for himself, the four hero's would be back to save the kingdom"
"But Dad why don't you look for where to hide before Roy arrives" Drogo asked his father
"Don't worry about me Son, I'll serve as a distraction to delay Roy and he wouldn't just kill me"
"I will go," declared the prince with determination.
"Be safe, my son," the king said, patting his shoulders. "Now, find three others to accompany you. We must act swiftly."
Molanta, realizing his mistake, rushed to the ballroom where his father and the king were discussing the situation. He overheard their conversation and volunteered to join the quest.
Though initially surprised, his father understood the urgency and didn't question further. Molanta confessed to Morata that he inadvertently freed Roy and cast the spells that released him.
Meanwhile, Melissa, searching for her mother, stumbled upon Molanta and Morata's conversation. Realizing her unintentional role in Roy's release, she hastily scribbled a note
expressing her desire to join the quest.
Morata cautioned her against it, citing the challenges she would face in her baby-like stage.
However, Melissa remained resolute, insisting on participating despite the risks.
Morata reluctantly agreed to Melissa joining the quest, they needed one more person to make them 4 , a plump man named Arie expressed his desire to join. Arie, an orphan without family, felt he had nothing to lose,
With his solitary existence, he saw no reason not to embark on the quest.
Gathering the four adventurers, Morata outlined the challenges that awaited them:
"The first stage of the quest involves answering riddles posed by a wise serpent within a limited time frame of ten hours, taking into account the time difference between our realm and the
forest. Next, you must confront and overcome your deepest fears to progress to the following stage. Following that, you'll encounter a tempting land filled with candy and food, but beware-indulging will lead to certain death.
Finally, the ultimate task is to locate the gemstone, which will resonate with each of you individually. Upon finding your gemstone, consume it immediately to teleport back to the kingdom. Remember, you are permitted to bring back only the gemstone, and you must each venture forth with only a bottle of water."
Melissa, Prince Drogo, Molanta, and Arie set out on their journey into the forest for the quest.
Meanwhile, Roy and the all the trolls who had been locked by King Archibald's Predecessors attacked the palace, capturing the king, queen, Princess Celine, and everyone else in the kingdom. With their victims bound and the kingdom shrouded in darkness, Roy reveled in his sinister triumph, taunting his captives with his malevolent laughter.
In the midst of the chaos, the Royal wizard Morata concealed himself, patiently awaiting the return of the four adventurers who had
embarked on the quest.
As the four embarked on their journey, Arie continued singing songs, much to the annoyance of Prince Drogo, who preferred action to music.
"Will I find my love, will she be white like a dove,"
Arie paused after the second line, as if considering stopping, only to raise the pitch.
"She must be fit for a Prince, like Prince Drogooo."
"Will you please stop singing that awful song already," Drogo snapped, his face contorted in anger.
"Oh, little Prince, missing your mama? Or perhaps longing for your papa's bodyguard?" Molanta interrupted with a mocking smile. "I've always wanted to see you without those
bodyguards, looking so helpless and alone." He let out a sharp laugh.
"Molanta, stop it already. He's still the crowned
Prince, even if we happen to be on the same journey for a similar quest," Arie said, looking at Molanta with disbelief.
"Babadubabadubaduuuubad," Mellisa interjected, seeming to forget she couldn't speak due to not having reached puberty stage .
"Here comes the baby, an Eighteen-year-old who hasn't even reached puberty stage yet," Molanta added, laughing loudly.
"You shouldn't be such a bully, Molanta," Prince Drogo reprimanded, eyeing Molanta before turning his gaze to Mellisa.
"Don't worry, you won't be in this stage forever.
And the fact that you've embarked on this
journey means the gemstone will likely hasten you through all stages," Prince Drogo said reassuringly. Though no one knew if the gemstone would accelerate Mellisa's power growth to the ultimate gemlike stage, they could only hope it would.
"Oh, sweet ancestors, when are we going to see the wise serpent? It's almost noon, and we have yet to find the serpent," Arie exclaimed. Prince Drogo sighed, "I think we should rest a little. My father, the King, once told me that the serpent sometimes likes to disguise itself. If we
encounter anything that is quite big in shape , we should say, 'Oh, wise serpent, test us with your wisest riddles.' He will come out." Drogo then helped Mellisa sit down by supporting her to the ground as she was floating midair.
Mellisa was happy; she had never been treated nicely before, except by her Mum, the stranger who helped her at the market, and now Prince Drogo.
"The erring star flower, yes, this has to be it," Molanta exclaimed as he stared at a strange
flower.
"What is that?" Arie asked as he stood up from
where he sat and approached Molanta.
"It's a plant I've been searching for to attain the greatest power the land has ever seen. It should be stronger than the power of the gemlike stage," Molanta said happily. He always seemed happy whenever he spoke about potions and magical plants.
He stretched out his right arm to pluck the plant, but Prince Drogo was quick to grab his hand and push him back. Then he said, "If you don't remember your Dad's warning, let me remind you: we take nothing but the gemstones." There was brief silence, they stood there staring at each other like they wanted to tear each other apart
"Badajiopajdodthaka," Mellisa said.
"Badajiopajdodthaka," she repeated, pointing at a particular object. They all turned to look at her, but they didn't seem to understand what she was
saying.
