“I’m sorry for what I’ve done,” Loupesays regretfully, holding on to the bars of his prison cell. He isn’t supposedto be in there, but he begged Szari, for he said that he might lose controlagain.
Ifrown and place my hands over his. “It’s natural, Lou,” I say, using thenickname I gave him. “I don’t know how it feels to really lose a mate, but Idid feel the rejection of a mate… so maybe it’s close to that. I understand,and you should be thanking Szari for not killing you,” I whisper solemnly,looking into his sad eyes.

Ifeel my heart skip a beat and I frown. “Don’t you dare forget Sky,” I hisssoftly, reminding him of his 3-year-old son.
