The biggest surprise

Chapter Five Aria You probably thought I was the only predator in this house, right? No... no! I thought I was the wicked one, the absolute worst nightmare of this perfect little family. I thought I was the only girl staying awake at night, drenching her sheets, imagining the dirty things Damian could do to her body. But it turns out, the girl I call my best friend might be a much bigger sinner than I am. It started so perfectly. Victoria had dragged Harper out for a quick high-end shopping trip on the Monaco strip, or at least, that’s what they told me before they left the penthouse a few minutes ago. Harper tried to drag me along, but I faked a headache, wanting nothing more than to stay behind since I couldn't get his private number. The moment the front door clicked shut, and the house went dead silent, I knew it was my time to strike. I was ready to get fu*ked while he moaned my name. I stripped out of my clothes and went straight for the highest piece in my suitcase, a completely see-through, red lace underwear set. The lace was practically invisible, doing absolutely nothing to hide the pink flush of my skin or the fact that I was already dripping wet, my c**t tingling with anticipation. I didn’t care if it was risky. I wanted to walk straight into Damian's space and give him no choice but to break his pathetic self-control. Gosh! I was starving…starving because of his co*k, his touches, and his kisses. I poured myself a hot cup of coffee, holding it in my hands as I walked out of the kitchen. It was a perfect excuse to enter his room. I stopped in the kitchen entrance and memorized how I was going to act like an innocent girl who cares about her friend’s dad. Mr. Damian, I brought you coffee. I imagined how he'd be going to smile, call me a good girl, gently taking the hot mug out of my hands while his eyes were fixed on mine. The hot porcelain felt intense against my bare fingers, joining with the blistering heat winding up tight between my thighs. Every single step I took, the lace rubbed against my hypersensitive skin, making me moan softly into the corridor. I was heading straight for Damian’s private quarters. I knew he hadn't left with Victoria. I could feel his dominant aura radiating through the penthouse. But as I got closer to the double doors of his suite, a soft rustling sound made me pause. My heart slammed against my ribs. “Whose?” with him? Did he invite someone over? Is he cheating on his wife? Scratch that.. Is he cheating on me? I became serious, I wanted to know what was going on. I pressed my back against the wall, holding my breath so hard my chest ached. I peeked around the corner, expecting to see Victoria or his mistress coming back early. Instead, the door to Damian’s room clicked open. And someone came out. It was Harper. I froze, the cup of coffee nearly slipping from my hands. My brain is completely short-circuited. Harper? Harper was supposed to be out with her mother, but that wasn't even what made my stomach drop into a bottomless pit. It was the way she was dressed. Harper, bubbly, innocent, naive Harper was practically half-naked. She was wearing a silk robe that was tossed completely open, exposing a tiny, red satin thong and her bare breasts. Her hair was completely disheveled, wild and messy, and her cheeks were flushed a deep, breathless crimson. She was biting her lower lip, holding her breath as she hurriedly smoothed down her hair, a guilty, completely satisfied smirk stretching across her face before she walked down the opposite hallway toward her own room. I stood paralyzed in the corridor, my legs were shaking, but not from an o****m this time. From pure shock. “WTF!” I almost screamed. Why the hell would a daughter be coming out of her father’s bedroom dressed like a total slut? Why was she half-naked, flushed, and looking like she had just been thoroughly undone? What the fu*k is going on? A daughter wouldn't. Not unless… Oh, god. Suddenly, every weird thing from the past few days started flashing through my head in a completely new light. The way Harper always defended Damian when Victoria complained about him. The way her voice got strangely high and nervous whenever his name was brought up. The intense, possessive glare she had given my outfit at the pool earlier, a glare I thought was just her being a protective daughter. It wasn't protection at all. It was jealousy. “Omg.” The piece of the puzzle finally clicked, and it slapped me so hard I could barely breathe. Harper didn’t look at Damian like a father. She looked at him the exact same way I did. She wanted him. Or worse... she was already getting him. But how? It didn't make any sense. Damian is her fu*cking father. Is this family cursed? None of this makes sense. My grip tightened on the coffee cup until I almost broke it. A toxic, vicious wave of jealousy and anger flooded my system. Yet, I still want him. The more I thought about how impossible what I saw was, the more I felt wetness throbbing between my legs. If Harper was sleeping with him, if she was trying to claim my hot god for herself, then the innocent best friend act was a total lie. I looked down the hallway toward Damian’s closed door, my mind was spinning into a dangerous, chaotic mess. The game just got incredibly dirty, and the stakes were higher than I ever imagined. I wasn't just fighting an insecure wife anymore. I was fighting my best friend. I looked at my reflection on the glass wall beside me, my see-through lace doing nothing to hide how badly my body was trembling. I smirked, as a wicked, lethal thought crept into my head. You think you can have him, Harper? Damian is mine…only mine, and you can't mess it up for me. Just wait. I took a slow sip of the coffee, letting the heat burn my throat, and took a step closer to Damian’s door. It was time to find out exactly what was happening, even if it meant tearing this entire family to shreds.
