Chapter Seventeen

I stopped at the second floor of the Gallery and leaned my wrists over the internal open-air balcony before continuing. There were still red and sore. Part of the reason I had chosen this long sleeve dress was to cover them. I could hear the sounds of the people walking along the peaceful Arno River beneath us.    “How are you feeling?” Collin asked looking at my now uncovered wrists as I ran my hand over them unconsciously.    I quickly moved to cover them once more but he took hold of my arm as I did. He lifted his hand to my wrist and pulled it under his glance. I wanted to pull away, but for some reason I was too shocked by his grip to do so. It also gave me the opportunity to study his gorgeous Patek Phillip watch. I could hear it click the seconds by in a mastery of technology.
