Waking up with Erandri felt like everything around us was on pause, as if we could just forget about everything. The feeling of her soul was addictive and it took everything in me to tear myself away from her. I only remember flashes after the demon blood enhanced with some strange magic to compel me took over. I only had minutes after Erandri woke up. We only had minutes. If that was all I could have of her… it still would be enough to fill my life with hope.
