“Don’t kill me, I can help you, we can use the Princess as leverage and trick King Hector! We could rule!” Jayc sputters and some of his spit flies on Enya’s face and she slaps him.
“Disgusting traitorous pig! Just a little pain and you're ready to betray your people! Pathetic!” Enya says in a low voice filled with disgust.
“I can’t die! You need me! I can tell you where he hides Anastasia!” Jayc’s words make Charlotte go stiff and I see her look up and towards her mate.
“What does he want with Anastasia?” Enya asks and steps harder on his crotch making him cry out in pain.
“He’s her lover!”
“Liar!” Charlotte shouts and I place my hand on her shoulder to keep her calm. I hear her mate growl loudly, but I ignore him. She was my familiar.
