I'm Dead? Rose walked into her apartment sluggishly, she was just so tired and wanted nothing more than to jump into bed. Her exams had really taken a toll on her as she had been barely getting any sleep lately but it would all finally pay off. Her exams were all done and the semester was over. She dropped her bag and quickly zipped it open, searching for those sleeping pills she had both earlier. Her hand touched something instead and she decided to take a look. It was the book she'd read recently, it was a fantasy book about werewolves. She really wasn't into fantasy much but her best friend had cajoled her into reading this one and when she began, she found it very interesting and couldn't even put it down until she had read it to the end. It wasn't like most fantasy books she'd read, it had a touch of the real world. In this book, becoming Alpha wasn't birthright. An Alpha was chosen by virtue of a pack duel and only the strongest wolf became Alpha. An Alpha's son would only become Alpha after him if he won in the pack duel when he became of age. If he didn't win, the winner would become Alpha after the reigning one died and the former Alpha's son who lost, would be demoted to Omega. This ensured that their Alpha would always be able to successfully rule and protect the pack from danger in all circumstances. The position of Luna was also competitive and only sly women could become queen. There was no nonsense about a fated mate and this element twist seemed to excite Rosa. Speaking of Lunas, the Luna of the story turned out to be the villainess. She tried to usurp the Alpha after she lost favour with him and was almost replaced. When he found out, he killed her himself and married the woman he had been cheating on her with. Rosa couldn't help but feel for her, any woman who worked so hard to achieve something and saw a threat of losing it would behave exactly the same way she had. Rosa couldn't see Dahlia Roberts as the villainess, only the misunderstood heroine. Rosa smiled to herself as she remembered the story, she would have glanced through it once more if she wasn't so bone tired. She searched some more and finally found the sleeping pills, she took the bottle and the book to her bed and sat down. She took some of the pills and flipped to her favourite part of the story. She was hoping to read a little before the effect of the pills took place. So she started reading, it was the first formal introduction of the supposed villainess, Dahlia to the pack. It was in the form of an engagement. Rosa started feeling dizzy and her eyelids felt heavier than ever. She was too tired to even close the book and just fell asleep on it.  ********************************************* Rosa opened her eyes to a void, it looked like she was floating in space. Suddenly, a mysterious figure clothed in white approached her. "Where am I? What's going on?" She couldn't help asking. "You're in the void of lost souls. You're dead, you overdosed on your sleeping pills. I'm about to give you a second chance at life but you will not return to your own body." The mysterious figure explained. "What? I'm dead? But, but I'm still so young. I can't die now, what about my family? And school?" She cried hysterically. "Calm down dear, you died by accident and you died young, that's why you're being given a second chance. I've searched the world and haven't found a body that would be compatible with your soul. The ones which are compatible, don't deserve a second chance and so their bodies are already six feet under." He continued to explain. "So who's body will I get?" Rosa asked, confused. "You'll be transmigrated into the body of someone you know too well but sadly, that person's fate isn't very favourable so it is up to you to change destiny and shape it into what you want and deserve." The mysterious figure said in that frighteningly deep voice of his. "But………" Rosa still had questions but was cut off. "Silence. That will be all for now, you'll have to find out the rest on your own. Good luck, because you'll need it." The voice said before a gust of wind blew and the next thing she knew, she was in a large, spacious but beautifully decorated room. The huge chandelier provided enough light to the place. A big event seemed to be taking place here. She felt she had never been so confused in her life and was about to ask what could be going on when an announcement was made and the place became quiet.  "Let us welcome his Majesty, the one and only ruler of the Silver Solstice pack, the one who protects us all, the brave and fearless Alpha Xeric." The announcer said and a loud applause followed. Wait a minute, where had she heard that speech? She thought carefully and then it clicked! 'No, no, no, no. It…….. It can't be………." She tried to assure herself but seemed to be failing miserably at it. How could she be in a book? Her thoughts were cut short by the arrival of the Alpha. At the sight of him, most, if not all the ladies present were drooling and they were right to. The book had not done justice to this man's beauty. He was the perfect beauty and could best be described as masculinity and s*x on legs. His eyes were a fiery bluish green colour, hair pristinely blonde, nose perfectly shaped and dark pink lips. His chiseled jaw had the outline of a beard which only made him look more manly. His abs were form fitting through his tight shirt and though he wasn't all muscle, his arms made him look so strong, powerful, and even dominant. His eyes seemed to roam the crowd a bit before finally falling on her and her cheeks turned so red that she was sure she could have bested a tomato at the colour red. "And finally, the reason for this party today, we'll be formally introducing our Alpha's fiancée, his soon to be Luna. Let us welcome on stage, Miss Dahlia Roberts." The announcer continued and another round of applause rented the air. Everyone was waiting for her but Rosa hadn't yet realized that she was Dahlia. "Miss Dahlia, please come up on stage." The announcer called and she realized he was actually referring to her. She went up the stage and stood beside the Alpha. She was seriously blushing at this moment and it felt like she wasn't even in control of her own body as the fellow like butterflies were fluttering all around in her stomach. She wondered why she was feeling this way but she quickly understood as soon as her eyes met his, he was staring at her! She looked away shyly. She thought about it and the prospect of actually marrying someone as handsome as him was as amazing as it was dumbfounding. It would surely take some time for her to grasp everything fully but she was happy nonetheless, for being alive at least. While Rosa was happy at the moment, she seemed to have forgotten the ill fate that awaited the body she now inhabited.
