Goddess of War

- * Hilde taunts, “You want war? Then you have come to the right woman!” She pulls back her fist. The waters tremble in fear. Like a cannon, the air explodes around her. Her punch flies in the air and slices through the waters, making it look like she can control the sea. The three gods dodge in time. As they watch the punch hit the water as if it was a powerful explosive cannon shell, they think there is no doubt that they would have blown into bits. They narrow their eyes behind their masks, for Hilde is still capable of doing huge damage with limited prayers. A large slithering tentacle comes sprouting from the water. Its towering might blocks the sun and casts a huge shadow over her. Its corrugated suckers are larger than ponds. The skin is unlike that of an octopus or squid. Instead of slimy and soft flesh, this humongous tentacle is leathery. Swinging down, it goes to flatten her. Out of her anger, she decides not to dodge but prepare another punch. The tentacle blows up into bits and pieces like the one before it. The enemies land on different tentacles. Their eyes start to glow under their masks. Through the slit eyes of their masks, the lights shine. The goddess at the far left has a red color, the god in the middle glows blue, and the god at the far right has his eyes glow yellow. Hilde senses hundreds of huge creatures coming towards her from all directions. Even in the sky, she can hear leathery wings flapping and slicing the air. In the deep ocean floor, the creatures lurking in the deepest of trenches climb up the sea walls with their ancient calcium carbonate legs. Tentacled monsters swim in the water, making giant waves at the surface above them. Hilde herself made her eyes glow, channeling her powers to gather strength. She says, “Taste of War: Bloodlust!” She looks at the three deities and they suddenly feel the urge to attack her. “Come here, you fools!” she roars. It is three against one as they jump on and over the tentacles toward each other. She lures them away from Alina's body. Catching her relic, an Axe in midair that just arrived, she descends on the god in the middle to slice him into half. To defend himself, the god uses his relic, a staff that looks like a tentacle. The god explosively goes shooting down into the deep water. The other two are given a chance to take her on from both sides. She does not have any foothold to maneuver and dodge them. She says, “Taste of War: Cowardice!” then a swing of an axe to the god at her right and a blazing gaze to the goddess at her left. The god blocks with his relics that look like pincers around his arms. He gets knocked away while the goddess retreats. Hilde kicks the water as soon as she reaches it. With a blast of water, she comes back up to slice the goddess. A large pincer gets in the way. She slices it instead and it is a clean cut. The goddess disappears but Hilde can sense her. She is underwater. A large crab shows its purple concrete-like shell. She lands on it at the same time three dragons sweep down, breathing fire at her. With a wave of her hand, she extinguishes them only to see dozens of large towering tentacles descending to crush her. The flesh, shattered carapace, legs, and claws of the crab break out in every direction. Deep in the sea, Hilde has her left cheek bleeding so it mixes with the seawater like it is red smoke. Hundreds of huge glowing eyes stare at her but the glow of her eyes is brighter. As if the water is mixed with the blood of thousands of warriors as her eyes glow. The monsters cower in fear. They start to thrash around not daring to look at her in the eyes. A staff comes shooting towards her at a ridiculous speed as she tries to swim up to get some air. She deflects it with a swing of her axe. The blast the impact made gave her cover. She made a run for it while under the cover of the bubbles. Just as she is about to kick her legs to swim up like a bullet, another barrage of tentacles went to strike her back down. She kicks sideways instead. Her lungs start to scream for air. Frowning, she tries to hold her breath for much longer. The three deities with their creatures, attack from all directions. They will not let her breathe again and she knows this. In her thoughts, she says, “As if this is enough to kill me.” and makes her eyes glow even brighter. “Taste of War: War Freaks!” Hundreds of red souls in armors escape from her body to attack the deities and their creatures. It is an overwhelming force since souls cannot be killed. They just swim around while screaming, swinging their swords, and lunging their spears. The hard skin and shells of the creatures are being ignored. As if the weapons of these apparitions desire to cut flesh more than anything. They will slice anything that gets in the way of what they want. Deeply gasping for breath, Hilde climbs the floating piece of a dismembered tentacle. She heaves her every breath and coughs her every exhalation. Her body feels weak after using that power. “I have no prayers from devotees right now,” she mutters to herself. “I have no choice but to use it anyway.” She looks at the sky, looking at the souls she summoned attacking the dragons. They are like flies falling into the sea. “There is only one Goddess of Dragons in this Realm. I can't believe she betrayed us all!!” Taking a deep breath, she screams to the sky, “KWAME!!! You blistering traitor!!” The goddess heard her as she flies in the sky using her dragon wings. She looks down upon Hilde at the bottom. Her hand slowly goes to her mask then removes it. Hilde is not surprised. Then the souls she summoned have disappeared. “I guess I don't have to wear this now,” she says. “You guessed right, you witch!” “Sorry to disappoint you, my lady.” “Well, I'm not happy with it!” she growls while bending her knees to prepare a jump. Bursting from the surface of the water, she shoots up to slice her. Kwame breathes fire at her but Hilde did not stop. She knows what will happen next so she throws her axe behind her. Kwame appears behind her and blocks the axe with her scaly arms. The axe bounces off without dealing any scratch and she grabs Hilde's foot. “Why you–” she curses after being grabbed and preparing to kick Kwame with her other foot. “Argh!” she grunts in pain when Kwame's claws sink deeper into her flesh as she throws her back down into the sea. Her face bashes against the hard claw of the God of Crabs, nearly knocking her unconscious. She sinks into the sea and the other god swiftly swims towards her with the sharp point of his staff, ready to impale her. Luckily, her axe returns to her just in time to protect herself. She fights with him underwater although she knows he has the advantage. The explosions of their blows make the water burst out on the surface until she gets knocked up. Unready she was when the God of Crab grabs her with his claws. She stalls him by hitting him with her axe. He only manages to grab her left arm. “Argh!!!” she roars in pain while focusing her Sword Breaking to not let him cut it off. He draws in his other claw to cut her throat but she is quicker in slicing his arm off that is pinning her arm. She breaks free. He screams in pain before she swings her axe again. This is a miscalculation on his part because this is a stronger swing unlike she did before so his remaining claw hits his mask, shattering it into pieces and flattening his face. He goes unconscious then hits the ocean floor. The two remaining deities wait for the water to settle to attack with caution. Suddenly, the God of Krakens summons hundreds of sharp-pointed tentacles to where he senses she is. She is underwater while she slices them. He uses this opportunity to deal a devastating swing of his staff that hits her face. With her will, she tries to stay conscious as she gets blasted back to the surface where Kwame is ready with her claws to stab her in the back. * -
