A week later...
I was holding onto Alec's hand as we walked into the pack dining hall, its been a week since I moved to the Crescent Moon Pack and the difference between this pack and my old one, was enormous. Though I loved my old pack, the Crescent Moon pack, seems to be a lot more loving than my old one.
Everyone here is treated equally no matter the rank and they are all treated like family, seeing everyone happy almost every day makes me happy. Alec has been amazing with the adjustments I've had to make and has also tried helping me with my witch abilities. He was looking into a witch book for me.
As I took my seat at the head of the table, Alec kissed the top of my head before sitting next to me, his tattooed fingers entwined with mine before he turned to Richard and began talking to him about the perimeter checks.
Richard sighed as he rubbed his forehead, indicating his stress, I also noticed his eyes were dull with tiredness, "We've encountered some hunters on the south side side of our territory, though we've tried our best to stop them, some keep slipping through."
Looking at Alec, I could see his face flushed with anger, his grip tightened on my hand. "How are they finding a way in? Shouldn't every entrance be guarded?" Alec asked.
"I wish I could tell you how, but we've checked almost every possible entrance and it's fully guarded. Somehow, somewhere they are slipping through."
"Well you need to find it, we have children at risk. We cannot have our children and pregnant women in harms way," Gabriel spoke up, he was sitting next to Hannah, who was a new member of the pack. She had just married Jameson.
"What about leads?" I asked, feeling my anxiety build up. Though I was the alphas daughter, I was always kept in the dark.
"We believe it's the Silver Crescent Hunters that have been on our territory," Richard explained.
As the food for dinner was served, everyone began eating, but all I could do was stare at my food. How could they all eat after discussing the danger that lurked near by. A wave of nausea hit me.
"Excuse me" I said, my voice soft. As I stood up, I felt the familiar pain of my visions, causing me to stumbled, before I knew it. My whole world went dark and I was in my vision world.
The Silver Crecent Hunters came into my mind, their faces however were obscured as if someone was pixelating them, their hoods almost covered their face, all I could see were their eyes. Yet, in the background of this chaotic scene, I noticed a haunting figure. A tall, cloaked figure stood apart from the sea of hunters, their presence betrayed by a sinister smile that curved upon their lips. The malevolent energy radiating from this enigmatic figure sent shivers crawling along my spine.
The vision dissipated as quickly as it had arrived, leaving me gasping for air and fighting against the tears that streamed down my face. It took every ounce of strength I had left to open my eyes and found myself within Alec's reassuring embrace. His embrace slowly brought me back, I nuzzled my face into his chest, trying to ignore the stares from everyone in the room.
His arms wrapped around me, holding me tightly to his chest. I sat on his lap, my back turned to everyone, his attention was on me. No one else,
"What did you see, Alison?" Alec's voice, laced with concern, gently broke through the haze of my distress.
My throat felt tight, my voice choked with lingering fear. "I-I saw them, Alec. The hunters, wearing The Silver Crescent emblem. But there was someone else... someone darker, someone watching..."
Alec's eyes filled with a mixture of worry and determination. "We can't ignore this, Alison. The hunters have always been a threat, but now, with this new figure in the shadows, we must be even more vigilant."
I nodded, my breath still coming in shaky gasps. "We need to gather more information. See if anyone in the pack has encountered these hunters before... and find a way to protect ourselves."
Alec's expression hardened, his gaze aflame with resolve. "We will do whatever it takes to keep our pack safe, Alison. No matter the cost."
With those words, Alec and I found ourselves caught in an unspoken pact, bound together by the ties of loyalty and love. As the tension in the meeting room gradually dissipated, our determination to navigate the treacherous path ahead grew stronger.
Alec's grip on my hand never wavered, a silent reassurance in the face of uncertainty. He leaned towards me, his voice barely a whisper. "We will protect our pack, Alison."
