Sil and Miles stumbled forward as the world snapped back into place, the porter gate spat them out in the test dungeon

“I think I’m going to be sick.”

“Me too,” Miles muttered, pale but composed. “The teleporter really twists your insides. No wonder it’s not popularly used.”

Sil steadied himself and looked around.

Stone brick wall, Damp air. A faint green light emits from mushrooms like plants embedded in the cavern ceiling

“We’re in the dungeon.”

The watch given to both of them before entering the Guild Hall buzzed. And a message was received; Sil read it out loud for miles, since he was blind and unable to read the text on the watch screen.

E-Rank Dungeon

Objective: Obtain 2 Basic-Tier beast Soul Crystals in ten hours.

Sil exhaled. “Two basic crystals? That’s easy enough.”

He glanced at Miles.

Green acid shot toward them.

Miles slammed both his palms to the ground.

Stone erupted upward, forming a crude pillar.

The acid sizzles on the pillars.

Sil dashed forward, blade flashing. He drove his sword between thin armored plates — stabbing, and forcing his sword inside the space of the creature's back until it shrieked and died.

Another circled behind.

Miles stumbled on the ground twice and the beast was held in place. while he formed an earth spear throwing it towards the beast piecing into the head of the beast killing it on the spot

They managed to bring two down.

Miles I'll focus on holding off the two on the ceiling

“lets can do this.

Help me with one of those you earth spear! ” Sil said but got no response and turned to Miles

The stone pillar crumbled.

Miles collapsed to the ground, Am out of stamina already this is bad.

“Miles!”

Sil barely had time to react— when one of the beasts that was coming from their left side rushed to attack Miles as fall to the ground.

A sharp cold air sliced through the cavern.

Four ice spears tore through the air.

Clean.

Precise.

Instant.

The remaining centipedes were pinned to the walls and ground — frozen solid.

Sil turned.

Two figures stepped from the path both miles and Sil walked from.

Two men.

They moved as the dungeon belonged to them.

One of them walked past Sil as if he didn’t exist. He punched through the frozen exoskeleton of the centipede, shattered it open, and pulled out the soul crystal from the beast it was dull and orange in color.

Energy swells within it.

No acknowledgment.

No hesitation.

Sil locked eyes with the one stepping on Miles' head.

“You shouldn’t have done that,” he said through clenched teeth.

Both vanished in the blink of an eye.

Sil used his sword helt to break the ice on his legs

When he finished he carried Miles on his shoulder through the dungeon, footsteps heavy. ‘’

“I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier but the reason I collapsed was that I have a low soul energy output my secondary ability drains it all since it's constantly active and if I use my Earth ability as well it takes away my stamina

At that moment Sil saw much of himself in Miles and replied calmly
