ELIZA’S POV
I managed to calm my ready heart and paid keen attention to Alexander. My body was in desperate need for something but my mind wanted something else; to show Derek and his wife that I wasn't one to be trampled with.
Alexander muted his phone and turned to me; "The manager has confirmed that Derek and Maya are there, what do you want?"
I shook my head, mentally locking up all my thoughts into a box. "I want their request denied. Across all banks in the kingdom." Alexander nodded once and turned his attention back to his phone.
Alexander quickly placed his phone on the table and put it on speakerphone, as expected, Derek's angry voice filled the room immediately.
I remained calm in my seat even though a terrible laughter was threatening to break out of me.
