  ELIZA'S POV   Seeing Alexander again filled me with a warmth I had not realized I had been missing.   He stood tall and commanding. His blue eyes scanned my face as if memorizing every feature, as if ensuring I was truly there.   The moment was brief.   It didn’t last long.   It was stolen by duty, as it always was with him.
