  ALEXANDER’S POV   The last of my reports sat before me.   I leaned back in my chair, rubbing my temples in exhaustion. I was damn tired.   It had been a long day—longer than most—but even as tired as I was, I couldn’t stop my thoughts from drifting.   To her.   Eliza.   Ever since I’d accepted my feelings for her, the need to be near her had only grown stronger. It was maddening, the way she consumed my every thought, the way my wolf stirred at the mere mention of her name.   “Go to her,” my wolf urged. He was restless with longing. He paced within me.   I intended to do just that. I couldn’t stay away from her for much longer. My mind wasn’t at rest at all.   Just as I stood, Dylan’s voice echoed through the mindlink.   “What’s up?” he asked me.   “Dylan. Is there any issue?”
