This can't be true.
My face squeezed as the pain struck my heart again. I put pressure there using my hand, hoping that it would ease the pain I'm feeling inside.
"What did he say?!" Tala furiously blurted out. I could feel her anxiousness building up in my chest. A few seconds later, and she's already howling.
"W—Wolf..." I muttered.
I weakly lifted my head to look at Beta Poppy who was looking at me worriedly. She tried to touch me, but I quickly stood up on my own when my legs betrayed me. I fell on the ground.
"N—Nikita! Let's go back to the pack. I will bring you to the pack healer—"
"I'M FINE!" I raised my voice.
