The domino effect has begun: from David"s arrival on Coronadus, to the discovery of the Singer, to the reactivation of electrical energy, to the resurrection of desire for material wealth and military power. Suspicion, avarice, selfishness and the breaking of loyalties, all the human failings that Bianca believed would never resurface in Coronadus now rear their ugly heads and wag their serpentine tails.
