Jamie stared at Lola’s body with horror, his heart beating so hard it hurt. A pool of blood had formed around his friend’s unmoving figure, her blonde hair soaking in the red liquid as it spread through the cracks in the cement. “What… what did you do?!” Jamie screamed as he fell on the ground next to Lola, eyes looking up at his sister, who winced at the sudden shout. “You killed her! Why did you kill her?! She has done nothing wrong!” “She was in the way.” Camila sighed in annoyance, looking down at him. “Get up.” Jamie looked back at his friend, his gaze stopping on her pale face, her eyes staring unseeingly into the distance as her blood soaked her frail fingers, painting them red. He knew what he was seeing and what it meant, but a part of him refused to accept the cruel reality.
