Chapter 23 The Aftermath
.....2 months later..... Kristoff's POV This has been a living hell for myself.. I have done everything I possibly can to try to apologize to Meika, you know, without actually talking to her like the contract states that I can't do.. and as suspected, she is a strong-willed independent woman, so she is not having any of it. I knew the kind of woman she was when I got with her, but man, her fire is something I never expected to get burned from, but here I am, months later completely charred. The day after everything that had happened, when I didn't show up to take her away, she looked absolutely heartbroken. With her puffy red eyes and pissed off, don't-mess-with-me demeanor, I knew there would be no way to try to smooth this over.. at least right now. But I knew in my heart I wouldn't
