Chapter 26 Deciding For Myself
Meika's POV We pant trying to get the much needed air into our lungs, but somehow doesn't seem like enough.. With the shock in our systems, we have to try to collect our thoughts to figure out what just really happened. I automatically roll onto my back, sucking in as much air as my lungs can hold while staring up at the cloudy gray sky above me. Rustling across the concrete can be heard besides me and before I know it a panting Kristoff is hovering over me. He is checking what he can see, I think to make sure I'm ok.. or as ok as I can be after that. We stare at each other for a moment that seems like we're locked in this trance and somehow there is nothing to break it. We're breathing hard as I take the only chance I have with some air now in my lungs to tell him how much I appriciate
