Aria “Thank God you have your phone with you.” Daniel said when I turned on the flashlight on my phone. “Can I have it? I need to turn on the generator. You can come with me so you won’t wait in the darkness.” I jumped down from the stool and stretched my phone out to him. He reached for it, our fingers brushing against each other. My breath caught in my throat and I gasped at that small contact. Daniel noticed the soft gasp but said nothing. I flushed, and followed him as he moved to turn on the generator.
