ARE YOU STALKING ME?

Minutes later, I’m done dressing. I smooth my dress, my gaze darting everywhere but his face.
He grabs his clothes, buttons up his trousers, then stalks over and adjusts his jacket before reaching for his cowboy hat.
“That was fun, princess… but that doesn’t mean you’ve paid for even half of your sins yet.”
“Nothing is worth my Daisy. Not even your life,” he adds.
I shoot him a glare. “I’ve told you,I didn’t kill Daisy.”
“Don’t ever say her name!” he growls.
I scoff. “Like I care to say her name. I’m done explaining myself to you. Think whatever you want, Matt.”
I bolt toward the door but suddenly pause in front of it, hesitating.
What if someone is out there? What if they see us coming out together?
