My heart skips a beat. “Uhm… no. I don't think I need anything right now,” I stutter.
She leans closer. “Ash.”
I look at her.
“I’m not blind,” she says quietly. “I’ve been watching you. I can read your body movements, c'mon If there's a thing you want, just say it and I'll give it to you.”
My grip tightens on the file. I look up at her, smiling. “I said I’m fine.”
She tilts her head slightly. “Are you shy? You don’t want to say it in front of them?”
My gaze flickers around the room, the girls still watching, still whispering.
Riley follows my glance and lets out a soft scoff. “Them?”
Her voice drops, firmer now. “You’re Warrick Harrington’s old lady. You're a Harrington, for God's sake. Girl, act like it!”
