"Hi, you're not the pizza guy." I said, looking up at the giants before me.
"No. I'm Alpha Jacob, and this is my Beta Nate. We stayed close to you and wanted to come welcome our new neighbor. Your Aunt Margaret was friends of ours
"Ok.. Please, to meet you." I stuck my hand out to shake. He stared at me a bit. I didn't care, though I was doing the same.
"Wait..Alpha?Beta?" I asked, confused, just realizing what he said.
"You can call me Jacob." He smiled, showing his nice even teeth. His smile is contagious, causing me to smile.
"Wow, you guys arrived humongous." Jameson said behind me. The guy behind Jacob grinned. Jacob shook my hand, and I yanked it back.
"Sorry, static.. I'm Melissa." I rubbed my hand.
"Gorgeous," Sara twisted her hair.
"Sara!" I scolded her. "Excuse me." I said, turning toward the kids. I gently pulled Ariel from my leg, placing her hand into Sara's. "To the kitchen. Dinner will be here soon."
"But mom.."Jameson started.
"No buts. Go on." All three disappeared into the kitchen. I turned back towards the two men at my door.
"Sorry. We just moved in today. So we haven't had a chance to greet any neighbors yet. I didn't even know I had neighbors. Where do you guys live?" I babble nervous all of a suddenly. But moving here, we didn't see any close neighbors.
"A few miles past this property. We have a small community north next to you.Your great aunt let us use her land, so we have a few cabins deeper in the woods near here." Jacob explained.
Both of these men are handsome, but Jacob he made me warm all over, and I was drawn to him. That static shock ignited something within me. Gosh, my lady parts were even waking up. She's been sleeping for the last year. Dealing with divorce and stress from everyday life. She has been neglected. Not any more as I looked up at this magnificent man.
His dark hair is pulled up into two symmetrical cornrows to the back in the middle of his head. The rest of his hair shaved all the way around the sides. His green eyes were glowing. They were so captivating. I've never seen eyes glow this way, but his eyes are perfect. It's like the world stood still.
"Um, hum." I was snapped out of my head by his friend Nate. I thought I heard a growl from Jacob. But I was not in my right mind right now. Gosh, I was openly ogling a stranger.
"I'm sorry. You must think I'm crazy."
"No, not at all. I like what see also."
I'm pretty sure I'm soaked. I shifted my stand. Jacob took a step closer to me. I felt hot and bothered. Jacob smelled good. Like that nature smell after it rains. Clean air and wet earth. A hint of pine lingering around.
Headlights shined down the driveway towards the house. "Pizza here," Jameson said, coming to the door.
"We were just passing by and wanted to say hello. Maybe we can come by another time."
"Ah. Sure, that'd be fine." Jacob took a step back. The pizza guy walked up.
"Tanner resident?"
"Yes, thanks. I said Jameson grabbed the pizza. Nate beat me to paying him. He turned and left.
"On me." He said.
"You didn't have to. But thanks."
"No, problem." Nate gave a small nod, then stepped back.
"See you soon." Jacob said before they both turned around. I closed the door and leaned my back against it. What the f**k just happened? I asked myself.
"Mom Sara won't take off my pepperoni."
"I'll get it, sweetheart."
Later that night, I lay in bed and got lost in thought. After my marriage, I was no longer interested in being in a new relationship. Life just took over that empty spot. Working constantly to pay bills and trying to be normal for the kids. Having to go through the heartbreak was hard also. I thought I would be with Daniel and I forever. As soon as he married his new wife, I let the heartbreak take over and vowed not to fall for another man.
That changed soon as I laid eyes on the sexy neighbor. I closed my eyes just thinking of those amazing green eyes, his bright smile, and his olive skin. Those huge hands and strong arms. My hands slid down my body and found that aching spot between my legs. I rubbed over my c**t and for the first time in years I got a much needed orgasm.
I slept through my alarm. Now I had the van on two wheels, trying to get the kids to school on time.
"Yes, we made it." Jameson said.
"The way mom drove, we couldn't help but make it on time. Thanks, mom."Sara said as they got out. I smiled at the first compliment from Sara that I had in a year.
"Have a good day, you guys..love you," I said, causing them to shoot me an annoyed glare. I smiled and pulled off.
Ariel and I were going to the bookstore.
It was not far from the school. I unlocked the door, and we both went inside. It was small and dusty. I pulled the thin curtains back from the windows to let more light in. Taking a better look around. It was cute, though. The store could use a fresh coat of paint. Ariel and I looked around at all of the books. "I can't wait to read." Ariel said, looking at a book.
"You will soon." I said, walking behind the counter. "Let's go grab some supplies and clean up some. I saw a*****e farther up we can walk to." Ariel hopped to the door in front of me.
I grabbed Ariel hand and made my way back up the strip. I smiled and spoke to some of the people we walked by. They nodded or smiled back. They seemed friendly, and the strip was busy to be so early.
The two of us picked up cleaning supplies, and of course, Ariel sneaked in a stuffed animal. I got Ariel a breakfast bar and a juice. I forgot we hadn't had breakfast yet. I had a habit of skipping breakfast anyway.
We walked back. "Mom, isn't that the man that stopped by our house last night." Ariel tugged at my hand.
I looked down at her and saw her eyes looking ahead. "Jacob," I whispered. He was standing beside the bookstore with a brown bag and drink holder in his hand. His smile grew the closer we got to him. I couldn't help but smile back.
