The realization

And like that it was sent out to the mail add a weird feeling inside me that something was brewing over winter break. Then maybe there was a warrant out on our heads something rosalita was doing? But it felt more powerful than rosalie put together it felt more like our uncles and with no help from the other side I guess this means that we need to contact our father and see who all is actually passed away. So with that we ended up contacting our father and he ended up arranging a meeting with us. We all met in my mother's den standing around her wooden circle table. We gave each other side glances and head nods taking a deep breath and wondering where this conversation would go. I was the first one to speak “we need to know who all is actually dead and who all is actually alive.” Antoinette nods her head this was something that had been on her mind as well you couldn't tell it but she had been on wake and not sleeping well just like me. Our father glanced around the room taking a deep sigh “most of your uncles and aunts are actually alive. Rosalie is alive. When you're mother called me she called for my help when I came immediately I helped with the glimmer, she might be on the other side waiting for word to come back but her soul is alive.” father said as if it was matter of factly. This gave us girls hope but it also gave us dread. Half of the school could be working against us and half the school is also working for us. With our uncles not taken out from the fire but have just gone into hiding this meant that the war was still brewing. With rosalie just gone into hiding it gave us hope that she was still alive but it also gave us dread that she was hiding in plain sight. We glanced around each other with a sorrow look on our faces. “why didn't you tell us sooner?” Antoinette said towards our father. “you didn't ask the right questions to begin with. If you don't ask the right questions you don't receive the right answers. You know I don't work with then I could leave the guard here again to protect you guys?” he said glancing towards all of us we all looked around the room at each one of us trying to understand if we would need the guard again. Antoinette finally nodded her head agreeing with the statement. We would need them if not now we would eventually need them. It was hard to think about when we would need them though when this whole thing came to a head? When it was good versus evil? The guard was dropped off that night all of them 40 of his men were glimmered into looking like boys again they were all ushered into their dorm rooms. There was a different storm brewing that night a colder one. one that was out for our heads in one that didn't help us to believe that when we woke up everything would be changed. When we woke up Alex was back he was sitting in the dining room with a few books on the table he glanced around everyone. “this might be hard to believe but I've decided to take you up on your offer Trinity.” he said it glancing towards me as I walked into the dining room “I also brought some of my grandfathers books that we might need to use to put a protection spell around the school to ward off evil. In all necessary it would keep evil from stepping into the school anyone who was meant to do us harm wouldn't it be able to step into the school it would level the playing ground.” Alex said glancing towards all of us I nod my head and take a deep breath. “let's do it.” I say agreeing to do the protection spell. After doing the protections fell around the school, we all sat in the cafeteria as the students arrived coming in one by one whoever couldn't make it through the door was told that they should leave. They should return home and tell their families of what they were planning on doing here. Or better yet return to the person that was telling them that they should cause harm here. That's when I got word that solstice couldn't make it through the door. My eyes run a little wide it was as if my stomach dropped to the ground. In my mind it was like I had lost my mate all over again. Was he even my mate? As I walked to the door as he was being told he wasn't allowed in and he should return home whatever harm he was planning on doing here he was not allowed here anymore. I stood there glancing towards him a confused look on my face. “are you actually planning on harming my family?” was all I can muster up the strength to ask him. “our families had been at war for years. Who do you think killed my mother? How do you think it was so easy for you to fall for me over and over again? Do you really believe that I love you? Only a fool would fall in love with you.” he said grabbing his bag and turning around to leave. The only thing I could muster up to say was “what about our mates?” That's when he slid something into my hand it was a bag as if it wasn't bad enough someone had jinxed me into believing something. This hurt more than anything if he was carrying around a bag that jinxed us there had to be more of these bags I turned on my heel and with a little clink clink walk down the hallway to where my sisters were sitting put it in the bag down in front of my sisters and Alex I just stared at it for the longest time. Antoinette eventually broke the silence “so someone decided to jinx us as well? And solstice is a bad guy? What about the glimmer reversal that we did?” that's when Jackson showed up behind us he got a smile on his face as if he had won the lottery or something. “it seems like all has been restored to its normalcy again just us group of people finally back at it.” Jackson said and we gave him a warm welcome I gave him a hug first where was nice to see him back in a better mindset than when he left. “So what has you so chipper Jackson?” I say glancing towards him. “it's just if the rumors are true none of the bad people are allowed to be part of the school anymore. It makes me remember what my grandfather told me during winter break that eventually the goodwill overcome the evil. And if the rumors are true it's no thanks to Alex over here.” he said hitting Alex shoulder in a playful manner. Jackson sat down with the rest of us glancing towards the bag. “there's a million of these in the guard area. I didn't know where they came from but I never touched them.” Jackson said messing with the strings on the bag. Antoinette looked at Jackson even though he was the youngest out of our group he seemed to be the most naive as well. “they're hexing bags can you show me where they are?” Antoinette said Towards Jackson and Jackson nodded his head as they both stood up and headed towards the guard area. It left me wondering if there's a million of them in the guard area where else are they on the land. Are they in the secret room that the people who practice black magic would go into in the middle of the night? And if there are in the secret room would we ever be able to find that room? Now knowing that my mate is on the evil side if they are even my mates everything is weighing heavily in my mind me and Alex walk back to the rooms where the headmistresses and head masters stay standing in the kitchen are locked towards Alex there's something sweet and innocent about him. As if he was made from heaven above. “when you said that you wished the mates didn't matter were you serious about that?” I ask him with a smile on my face. “yeah I wish my mate didn't matter I wish that our magics together didn't make us who we were. Because if I could choose I would choose you there wasn't a night that went by that I didn't think about the constellations and laying in your bed. Even though they were sweet and innocent moments that I remembered between us I never had that with her it was always we had to reach for power. I didn't want power I wanted something innocent.” Alex said nodding his head and pouring himself something to drink. “that's why when you wrote to me I took the first chance that I could to come back here and be here next to you.” he said following up his statement “I do believe that in a perfect world my mate and your mate would be perfect for each other though and maybe in a perfect world me and you would be perfect for each other. Something about it seems almost as if they knew who they were pairing each other with. As if they knew they should pair these two people in these two people. And hey maybe if the jinx is true it still gives us hope for each other.” he said rolling his eyes and rolling his shoulders almost in a nonchalant way to look forward to the future instead of looking forward to the past. “that would be nice Alex everything you just said would be nice, but maybe we can start with being friends this time instead of trying to one up each other and read each other's minds.” I say putting out my hand and we shake on being friends. Being friends is everything to me right now.
