Something just didn’t add up. Killian claimed never to have hurt Wylder’s uncle and Wylder claimed never to have hurt Killian’s former mate. Killian said all of this even went back further to their parents. What was happening? Why would both say they had never hurt the other’s dear ones and yet they believed so strongly the other had? It was just so weird.
“You didn’t… kill her?”
“Did you think I would?” he asked.
I slowly shook my head.
