I couldn’t believe Wylder. He knew Killian was my mate too, and if he had gotten hurt, then it was important that I went and saw him. I had to know he would be okay. It was like something deep and instinctual happening inside of me when I read that he had gotten hurt. I just needed to see him. I wasn’t even thinking much about it. Everything in me just screamed I had to go to him. It was a mate thing. Wylder had to understand that!
But he is also our mate. Letting us go is against his nature.
