This morning, we went down and joined the others for breakfast. The pack members always ate together. It strengthened the bond between us, and it seemed like Helena, after seeing how well everyone was treating her, really enjoyed it. She had been a lone wolf her whole life. She had never tried what it was like actually being part of something bigger and stronger. A real family. She had, of course, had her mother. I didn’t say her mother wasn’t family, but being part of a pack was something truly amazing. You never felt alone. You never felt weak when they were around you, and you knew, no matter what, you had someone to go to. All packs also had people that weren’t so great. Who didn’t contribute that much, but it was easy to ignore when there were so many great members.
