I felt utterly trapped by these females, and it wasn’t due to my inability to simply charge in and push them away. Physically, they were no match for me. Men, especially werewolves, were inherently stronger, but I had no desire to resort to brute force.
These were all important lunas, and I couldn’t treat them so poorly. It wouldn’t reflect well on me if I resorted to aggression simply because I could. However, I despised that they were obstructing my path, and I was growing desperate to pursue Killian and Helena.
Yet, I couldn’t risk inadvertently harming these women, which was entirely plausible given the heightened emotions of mated males. We became so intensely bonded that we might not even notice how brutal we acted if it meant reaching our mate. I had to maintain control.
