I almost wanted to curse as I heard Wylder say this. Why couldn’t he have walked away? But then again, it would also have hurt my mate if he did. She was tied to him after all as well, so no, walking away was not going to be an option.
Of course I got to keep her, but at what cost? However, as we both affirmed that we were staying, I saw Helena light up completely. Goddess, the look on her face—I would remember that forever.
