23 My breath hitched as I watched Brie glance toward the door, then step toward me. I didn’t know what was in store for me, but I couldn’t stop the longing inside. Despite being used, succumbing to her feminine wiles, even now in my perceived final hours on earth, I was still vulnerable, overtaken by a stirring within.
