Crick peddled the old chopped bicycle down the two lane county road leading to the main highway and cussed its wobbly front wheel for the millionth time today. It was hot as hell riding out on this asphalt and it was impossible to go more than a moderate speed before the rickety thing tried to rattle his fillings out. Going downhill was really interesting and a b***h because this part of the country was filled with hills. If you didn’t have enough speed at the bottom of a hill you might as well walk and push the bike up the next hill.
