29 Like most officers at Mildenheath, Wendy tried to avoid going to Milton House wherever possible. This time, though, she knew she had no choice. She’d timed her visit carefully, but had still sat waiting in the canteen for almost half an hour before she saw Xavier Moreno come in for his lunch. That was the best thing about the techies and lab geeks: they could always rely on actually having a lunch break and having it at around the same time each day.
