Clara's Point of view

I woke up one hour later and remembered I have to do something. I checked the time and it was 03:15 pm. I got up and opened my box. I brought out some amount of money still in America currency Dollar. I put it into a shoulder bag and brought a private card. The last time I was here which was two months ago I did some neccessary things by getting a job before hand so I have to call my boss as soon as I get a new phone and a sim card. I went to the bathroom and washed my face. I left my room and went back to the sitting room. I met Jamaima watching TV.

"Ria, where is Jane?" I asked worriedly completely forgetting not to call her Jane again.

" Dabriella not Jane just as I am Ria. She is outside with the gate keeper." She said and focus her attention back to the TV. I walked out of the house and met her talking with the gatekeeper. I smiled because she is very friendly and has a good humor unlike Jamaima who took after her father traits of looking down on people. I went to Jane and held her hand.

"Riella, what are you doing here?" I asked her. Riella is the short form of Dabriella.

"I got bored with the TV so I came to talk to him since you were sleeping and I did not want to disturb you." she said.

"Okay dear. Mr Bakare, I hope she was not disturbing you?" I asked the gate keeper.

"No ma, infact she was entertaining me."

"Okay. Can you please order an uber for me. I want to go out." I have a car but its pointless since I don't know my way around. I watch him bring out his phone and did as told.

"On his way madam. He told me when he was done.

"So do you have any simple name I can call you instead of Mr Bakare?" I asked him.

"Yes madam. You can call me Joe.

"Joe, nice name." I complimented.

"Thanks ma." He said.

I and Riella walked back to the house. Ria was still watching cartoons when we came in.

"Mum, where are you going to?" Riella asked as soon as we step in.

"Many places, do you both want to come along?" I asked.

"Of course, I want to see Nigeria." Riella answered childishly.

"Fool! You can't see Nigeria but the city in it and places." Ria mocked her.

"RIA!, I have told you to stop using those words. I don't want you to ever say them again so now apologise to Riella." I scolded.

"Sorry mum, sorry Jan, I mean Riella. She apologised quickly.

"Its okay." Riella said quietly. What will I ever do with Ria? I'm sure Riella is feeling bad now.

I have been trying to change Jamaima because I don't want her to take after her dad traits but one thing she knows how to do is apologise. Her dad never apologize even when he is at fault, he has a big ego. I do not want Jamaima to turn out like him and that is one of the reasons why I am keeping her from him.

"So do you still want to go?" I asked both of them.

"Yes." They answered.

"Okay, go and wear your footwear. You will find it in the black duffel bag in my room." I said to them. They left the living room to my room and soon came back in sandals.

"Why sandals?" I asked them.

"That is what I feel like wearing, So don't question me." Ria said to me and sat down to watch TV.

"RIA, don't ever give me that tone! Do you get me?" I asked yelling at her. She is getting worse and out of control. She always like using the commanding tone her dad uses with people and I don't like that. One minute she is caring and the other, she is the replica of her dad!

"I am sorry." she said looking sober.

"That is all you say after talking to your mom like that and you too Riella."

"I only wore sandals because my foot hurt and I even want to wear my flip flops but can't find it." Riella said gently.

"Okay, we will do some shopping today." I said gently. Joe came in.

"Madam, the uber is here." He informed me and I nod.

"Okay." I picked up my shoulder bag as the kids stood up. I switched off the TV and we all walked out. I met the driver and greeted him.

"Hi!" I greeted the uber driver who marveled on seeing me, probably because I'm a white.

"Hello madam." He responded with a huge smile and I return the smile.

"Kids, get in." I instruct my kids which they did without hesitation.

I told him to take me to the Airport or any place a foreign exchange is been done.

We left the Airport when we were done and headed to the bank where I had already opened an account the last time I was here. I saved part of the money from the foreign exchange and the rest was put into my current account. I had the sum of two hundred thousand with me as we drove to a mall which the driver called shoprite when we left the Bank. I bought a lot of things including a new phone and the kids also bought some things. We finally got home at 08:00 pm exhausted. The kids were already tired. I gave Joe the package I bought for him and led the sleeping kids inside and made sure they had a shower. They already had dinner in the car when we were coming.

I was tired but determined to unpack for both I and the kids. I also unpacked the new things we bought from the mall. By the time I layed down to sleep after showering it was half past 11 so I just closed my eyes and let nature take over.
