Clara's Point of View

I opened the door leading into the room. I twisted the knob of one of the doors, the room i stayed in the last time I was here.The room was sparkling clean. I paid the housekeeper to do her job and she did it well. I opened one of the windows and fresh breeze circulated the room. The room was painted black and white and it was beautiful. I took Jane and Jammy boxes and led it into their room. I chose Jane room to be the room on the left side of my room while Jammy room was on the right side. So in each way i was in the middle of the both of them. I dropped Jane box on the floor and opened her window. I repeated the same routine for Jammy. I went back to the sitting room and carried Jane and i must admit she is getting fat. I dropped her on her bed and went to carry jammy. When i was done i went back to my room and opened my box. I brought out some cloth and other things. I went to the bathroom to have my bath. Few minutes later, i came out feeling refreshed. I selected a simple wear before going to outside to the gate keeper. I'm so stresses out and have no energy to prepare any sort of meal. I ask him to order a family sized pizza and ask him to inform me when its delivered. I walk back inside and slumped down on the sofa. I wonder how the kids would react to the change and i pray they adapt to their new life. I layed back my head on the armrest of the sofa. I was starting to fall asleep when a loud tell disrupted me. That was jammy's voice. I got on my feet and hurried off into her room. How foolish of me to fall asleep! She was in tears when I walked in. Jammy gets easily frightened but somehow brave, something she got from me and her dad. I managed to calm her down with a hug and soothing words.

"Mummy, where is this place?" She asked as soon as she found her voice and had stop crying. "You said we are going to Aunt Jayden place but...?" She asked giving me ä look that says what happened. I cleared my throat and tuck her loving silky hair behind her ears.

"Well this is our new house in Africa, in Nigeria, in lagos and not Aunt Jayden house." I said hoping she will act cool as she has the temper of ä lion just like her father..

"But you said we are going to Aunt Jayden place but.., Oh! I get it now! We bought ä new house in ä new country away from grand pa and everyone else." She said shocking the hell out of me.

"How did you know?" I asked her surprised.

"You just said it now." she said trying to act smart.

"No. Don't act smart with me." I warned her.

"Okay. Well i heard you telling someone on the phone that you are eloping to ä new country."

I looked at her and knew she was lying because i never told anyone my plan.

"Jammy, you are now lying to me." I said in a scolding manner.

"Okay. It is true but i read it in your diary which i know is wrong but you left it open and i read it. I am sorry mum." She said clasping my hand in hers.

"Its fine." I said with a reasurring smile. I left the room when I heard the door bell ring. When I opened it, the gate keeper handed me the box of pizza and went on to tell me he has paid for the service. I thanked him and told him I'd pay back. I shut the door and dropped the pizza on the dinning table. I went back to the room but Jammy was not there. I guess she is wandering around the house. I decide to select her outfit and other things as well as prepare her bath. I picked her ä floral sleeveless jumpsuit. I was just about to leave the room when i bumped into Jammy and Jane.
