I'll do whatever you want

I wasn't expecting this. The knock I was hoping for was the one that would give me the brown envelope and a brief talk about how much they appreciated the time I worked with them — As if — not this. “Miss April?” “Yeah. I heard you. It's just… Unexpected.” It didn't even strike me that Kieran would want to meet me, at least not in the office. She pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose, her little eyes widening. “I felt the same, dear.” Mrs Smith reminded me so much of my counsellor back in high school, always with her brown hair up in a bun, glasses hanging on the bridge of her nose and a motherly smile for anyone who looked her way. “Am I the only one he asked for, or are the other models present?” I needed to know what I was up against. Surely, he would invite the others to know about the top earners in the company. And now, for the first time, I was ashamed of my earnings. I wondered what he would think if he saw my progress chart. “That's the confusing part, dear. He only asked for you.” Was I surprised? Just a little. "I see..." I stepped out of the room, closing the door gently behind me so no one would disturb Maria. While I was chatting with Mrs Smith, she had gone into the restroom, either to take a piss or stare at herself while thinking of a future with Kieran. I walked behind Mrs Smith, trying my damned hard not to think of the meeting I have with Kieran. What is it he wanted to speak to me about? What if he only asked me to meet him so he would mock me? Would he do that? There was no answer to that, as I didn't know him all too well. I have only met him twice. One was when I was so drunk off my arse and heartbroken, and the next was when we met at home. I couldn't tell the type of person he was, or his intentions towards me. Okay, I kind of know the answer to the latter, not the former. When we got to his office, Mrs Smith knocked and excused herself, but not before advising me to be on my best behaviour and to make something out of it. I can't tell what the hell she wanted me to make out of this, but I sure as hell knew that whatever I was going in there to talk to Kieran about, wouldn't be along the line of what she actually wanted me to do. I stepped into the office while questioning my decision to take this up. Kieran, who was sitting behind his desk, got up when he saw me, smiling. “You actually came?” I rolled my eyes. “Like I had any choice.” As long as they were still holding my salary and my dismissal letter, I was still working for the company. I couldn't refuse the call even if I wanted. He smiled, walking around his desk so he could meet me halfway. “So what do you think about my proposals, stepsis?” Though I had an inkling of what he was talking about, I tried to act like I didn't. "Which one?" I should have known this had everything to do with that night. Despite my words at my mother's place, he wasn't ready to let go, holding on tight when I wanted to sever the ties. He smiled. "You know what it is, darling, and I expect to get a response from you.” He stopped in front of me, keeping a respectable distance, something I appreciated. I drew a step back, ignoring the rush of emotions and my heart, which was racing like a trapped animal, frantically searching for an escape, pounding against the walls of my chest in desperation. Despite my words and desires to be as far away from him as I could, I couldn't deny that attraction, the way he made me feel all mushy inside when standing close. I didn't appreciate the way the proxim reminded me of that night, of how it had felt being under him. I opened my mouth to ask him to go f**k himself, but what came out was a whispered, “You can't force me.” While hoping he would… No. That was my p***y talking. I would never say something like that, not to him and certainly not to anyone. However, when I looked up, the challenge in his eyes stunned me, trapping me in place. "Oh, I can, darling. You can't escape from me,” he whispered, his voice low, and his eyes set on my lips. “You should have thought of this when you seduced me and offered yourself. Why? Didn't it cross your mind that I would be obsessed? Even for once?” I glared at him, taking a step back. I didn't like it. The proximity was messing with my mind. I couldn't let him get to me, to control my feelings. I knew I had to break away from it. He smirked as he watched me, those grey orbs fixed on my face. He folded his arms. “No amount of running can save you, April,” he said. “Why?” I whispered, more to myself than to him. “Why do you want me? You can have any lady you want, Kieran. Why me? What do you like about me?” “Everything. I love the hotness of your gaze, your feisty nature, and more importantly…” He reached over to touch my face, but I averted it… “How hot that night was.” “It was a mistake.” He frowned. “What?” “Sleeping with you. You know that, right? I didn't even know my mother was f*****g dating your father! It was a one-time thing, and I don't —” “To you, it is, but not to me.” He grinned, leaning down. “It wasn't a mistake, darling. That was fate. It brought us together and wove the web that held us strong. Make no mistake, April. We are meant for each other. It's already written on stone and sealed by fate.” “No, it's not.” I shook my head, taking a step back until I reached the door. I turned fast and turned the doorknob, but the door didn't budge. Figures. He must have locked it when I stepped in. I'd heard about remote control doors and had an experience with one. What I didn't expect was his office having one. “There's no way to run, baby girl.” He wrapped his hands around my waist and brought me flush to his chest. “It took me a long time to find you, and I'm not letting go. Stop fighting this. You know your body wants it.” He placed a kiss on my neck. My legs went weak, and I had to shake my head to snap my thoughts away from the direction they were creeping towards. Gulping, I closed my eyes. “Let me help you, April. You can use me as much as you want. Let me be your tool. I will do anything you want me to. As long as you let me stay by your side.” He ran his fingers over my arms. I shivered at the feeling and gulped. “What do you say, darling? Do you wish to talk business with me?” He blew on my neck, robbing me of the ability to speak. "Just say the word, darling, and everything will be yours. Anything you want." "I —" "April?" I jolted up when someone shook my hands, staring up at Maria, I realized I was dreaming all along.
