We were still very far from Santiago de Compostela, and we had to get there today, and so we had agreed to go on. Tomorrow was Monday and we had class and we could not miss it, otherwise our families would not let us go on another getaway like this again. Something had suddenly happened that made us decide to leave right there and then. It was a large dog; I don’t know where it came from. It approached the car barking in distress and we thought for a moment that it would tear us limb from limb. It leapt up to bark through the windows, which frightened us.
