Part 4 (The Dinner)

I sat the dinner table for dinner tonight. I placed plates at ebety seat and glasses by every plate. I helped my mother make the Greenbeans and the sweet tea. I decided to add on Lemonade as well.

Once the evening was settled. I checked my phone to see of Cole had messaged. "I'm on my way" Read the message from Cole. I replied with okay and told my mom that Cole was on the way.

Right after I rushed upstairs to get changed really quickly before Cole got here. I wanted to look ny best tonight for the evening. I was nervous, but not as nervous as I would of been if my dad was here.

I got dressed and walked downstairs. Moments later I heard a knock at the door. "Mom I think he's here" I yelled slowly jogging towards the door to open the door. I opened the door and there was Cole looking as sexy as ever. He was so fine, that man took my breath away as soon as I seen him.

"Hey Emily, you're beautiful." He said grabbing my hand and staring me in my eye. "Thank you, you look handsome yourself. Come on in." I replied gently pulling him inside my house. I held his hand and lead him to the kitchen where my mother was finishing up dinner for the evening. "Hey mom this Cole. Cole this is my mother" I said introducing my mother and cole. My mother turned away whip her hands and smiled shaking coles hand.

"Where is John?" I asked my mother. John is the name of her new husband. My new step father. "He's running late but he's on his way back from picking up your little sister and her friends house" my mother replied.

Oh yeah I forgot too mention, I have a sister but she moved with my mom when she moved from Pennsylvania to Florida. We not really that close but my sister is 10 and she's cool.

I took Cole to the living room where him, my mother and myself sat on the couch and talked. My mother and cole had a nice conversation and it seemed like everything was going well. Everything was actually going pretty well. I was happy. I couldn't wait for my sister and step father to get here so we can all eat this amazing ass food. Boy I'm hungry as hell.

An hour later... it's now 7:10pm. My step father John, and my little sister Reign pull up outside. I heard the car pull up so I checked outside the window. Moving the curtain to the side to peek. "Mom, John and Reign just got here." I said to my mother In a excited voice. "About time, Let me get the food off the heat plates and on to the table" my mother responded standing up from the coach and walking to the kitchen. Cole got up and followed my mother to help place the food.

Moments later, John and Reign walk through the door. "Hey guys!" My mother yelled walking back in hugging my sister and step father. "Hey sweetie" John replied kissing my mom. "Hey John meet my boyfriend" I said as he cut me off to say he would be back. "I will meet him when I come back down. Let me change my cloths and wash my hands for dinner" He said walking up stairs. I just nodded my head up and down signaling the "Okay" response.

"Reign let's wash up for dinner" My mom said taking my little sisters hand and walking her down the hall to the second bathroom. I walked into the kitchen and hug Cole from behind. He was looking down at his phone waiting on my mother to tell him where to place the food. He turned around slowly and gave me a sweet nice gently kiss. His lips tasting like the cherry cola he was drinking.

"Babe, I think my step father is coming downstairs" I whispered to Cole. 'Whats your step father's name again?" Cole asked. "John" I replied. " That's funny, that's my dad's name aa well" He replied giving a slight giggle. "Oh wow how weird" I replied laughing and walking towards the dinner room. "Hey Emily where is this boyfriend of yours?" John said to me. "He's coming with the food for the table." I replied. "Cole come here" I yelled from the dinning room. He yelled back that he was coming while my mom and little sister start walking towards the table.

Cole comes to the dinning room with the food and I see my step father take a step back and give an odd look. Cole places the food on the food and walks behind me. "Hello sir my name... is cole." Cole said to my father holding his hand out. But when they locked eye contact it got instantly quiet. The energy in the room quickly shifted and changed. It was almost like they knew each other.

"Cole?" My step father Saud curiously. "Yes...well this is weird" Cole responded. "Whats going on?" My mother asked. "Hello father" Cole blurted out. "What?" I shockingly said. "John is my father but I didn't know he was married to your mother. I never met my father's new wife" Cole said to me holding my hand "Well now you have, and your dating your step sister Cole" replied John looking at him with disgust.

John and Cole had to been arguing for a minuet. Coles argument was that he didn't know anything about my mom and his father being married. His other argument was that we weren't actually related. That's the truth because we aren't blood related. He's not my real brother.

"How would people at school look at you two?" Asked john. "I don't know and I don't care dad" Cole responded. "Well I'm telling you that you will not be dating your step sister" yelled John. "I agree" My mother added backing upJohn. "Mom!" I yelled wondering why she was taking sides. My mother just looked at me. "Let's eat, but Emily this is no longer your boyfriend. You guys will not see each other outside of school anymore" my mother said.

My mom and step father made me and Cole sit across from each other instead of beside each other. I mean I guess it was weird he was my step brother. But we don't share blood so I'm not understanding the big deal. I had an attitude the whole dinner. Barley touching my food. I didn't want to be thereanymore. I just wanted to go up to my bed and go to sleep. I was completely over tonight.
