Worried faces blurred before Ruarnon. The Council’s theories on who tried to kill Ruarnon and who succeeded in abducting their parents ranged from high officials within the court to Kyura’s relatives, the Zaldeaan provincial governors. The Council had as little evidence for one candidate as for the next. And probably no idea who had succeeded in pushing Kyura to war, or how.
