Linh: Tarlah City, Day of Rest After Siege
From the shade of steps beneath a roof on the edge of a courtyard, Linh didn’t feel the joy shining in Lenaris’ eyes as she duelled another youth the day after the siege was lifted. Nor did Linh feel the peace in Ruarnon’s relaxed posture as they watched Lenaris several steps away.
“We need to speak to Ruarnon about the damars,” she told her friends.
“It’s supposed to be a day of rest,” Fiona said from the steps on her right. “Lenaris said the Royal Council is meeting tomorrow.”
“I’m sure Commander Imphin intends to tell them,” said Linh, “but this can’t wait. Damars have been attacking the Zaldeaan Realm for nine days and the Zaldeans don’t seem to be getting anywhere against them, despite being experienced warriors. I
