RAINE'S POV
"I am not yours... let me go..."
I muttered slowly as if unsure if it was the right thing to say.
Brian’s eyes darkened. His grip tightened around my side, making it hard to breathe.
“Reject the mate bond,” he growled.
I shook my head, struggling to pull free.
“I won’t.”
His fingers dug deeper into my skin. “You can’t reject me, Raine. You can’t leave me either.” His voice was low but full of power. “You were given to me.”
I glared at him, breathing heavily. “You don’t own me.”
He leaned closer, his breath hot against my ear. “Then let's see.”
With that, he finally released me and stood up. “Eat. You’ll need your strength.”
Then he walked out, leaving me alone with a racing heart and a head full of confusion.
