My knuckles were raw, blood dripping down my forearm as I lunged again. The sound of bone against flesh echoed like thunder through the clearing. Lycan Hades met me head-on, the full force of his body slamming into mine as we collided like titans.
He was faster than I remembered. Stronger too.
Our claws tore through air and flesh alike, each strike brutal and unforgiving. I ducked a swipe aimed for my throat and countered with a vicious uppercut, sending him staggering back a step. I didn’t stop. I charged again, snarling, driving my shoulder into his gut and forcing him into the jagged wall of boulders behind us.
