Chapter 34 Brian “They touched our roots. Now, we rise.” The sting of steel and sweat hung thick in the air as I stood at the heart of the Silver Crest training grounds. Sunlight stretched low across the field, casting long, sharp shadows behind my warriors like silent ghosts of the past. My throat burned from shouting orders since before dawn, but I didn’t stop. Couldn’t. Because this wasn’t just about preparing for war— This was war. And no one was escaping it. I swept my eyes across the rows of warriors—every section of the pack was represented here.
