Chapter I

BEEP BEEP BEEP BE-

Ughhh great. I look at my alarm clock and it says 7:39. I jump out of bed and go the bathroom to deal with my business. I wore a black pencil skirt that reaches my knees, a black blouse, and black heels. I jump into my car making sure I have my CV and drive off.

I forgot to introduce myself my name is Savannah Rose-Hazel Crystal Masters, but most people call me Anna, Rose, or Crystal. I am 5'4 with long brown hair. Back in high school, I was bullied because of my height. They either called me shorty or short cupcake. Funny right? Anyways enough about me, I have an interview to get to.

I make it by 7:48, a couple minutes before the interview starts at 8:00. I forgot to mention that I'm going to interview at Rodriguez Corp. It is one the most well known company in New York. I go to the receptionist, "Hi I'm Savannah, I came for the interview of the P.A." She looks up and says, "30th floor, and the front desk lady will tell you the rest." Okay then. I go into the elevator press the 30 floor button. After what it seems like an eternity, I finally make it to the 30th floor. I head to the front desk and say the exact thing I said to first receptionist. "I'll tell when he's ready to see you," she says. Fine with me.

In the lobby, I see women who have no self respect at all. They're wearing dresses which are too small for them and- "Ms. Rose? He's ready to see you, follow me." I get up and follow her to his office. I wiped my sweaty hands on my pencil skirt while straightening it. "Good luck," she says.

I knock on the door and a deep husky voice says, "Come in."

I open the door and walk with some confidence and say, "Hello sir, my name is Savannah. I'm here for the interview."

"Sit," he says.

I sat down in front of his desk and wait for the interview questions.

"What's your full name and age?" he says.

"My name is Savannah Rose-Hazel Crystal Masters and I'm 23," I say.

"Hm. Have any siblings and who do you live with?" He says.

"I have a younger sister and a older brother. I live with my best friend, Brianna," I say.

"Why do you think you deserve this job?" He says glaring at me slightly.

"I have a masters in business and fiance. I don't live far from here. I'm hardworking, focused, and dedicated to my job," I say shifting in my seat.

When I finally look at him, he's looking at me up and down finally setting his eyes back to mine.

"Is there anything Mr. Rodriguez?" I say uncomfortably.

"No, you're hired, 9:00. Don't be late," He says sternly.

"Thank you sir, have a nice day," I say while walking out. I get to my car and drive to Starbucks to talk to Brianna my best friend. I've known Brianna since high school.

When I got to Starbucks, I immediately went to Brianna who was waving her hand in the air.

"So.... How was the interview is he hot?"

"I mean he is but he was just focused on my legs," I say while drinking my Frappuccino.

"We need to go shopping," Bri says while dragging me to her car.

After hours of shopping for work and gym, we were watching Hawaii Five-O before we heard a knock at the door.

"Coming! Bri, pause the movie," Bri pauses the movie and I walk to the door. I open the door to find out its my boss

"Oh uhm sir, what do you need?" I said being shocked from seeing him at my door.

"I don't need anything, you left your phone at the interview," he says giving back my phone.

"Oh uhm thank you," I said. Thank god I had a password on my phone, "Have a nice night Mr. Rodriguez," I say while closing the door. I walk back to the living room and sit on the couch.

"Who was that?" Bri says while resuming the movie.

"It was my boss, I left my phone at the interview today," I say shrugging my shoulder.

"Oh well lets finish this movie tomorrow. I'm going to bed goodnight!" Brianna says while going upstairs.

"Goodnight Bri!" I say while going to my room. I shower, brush my teeth, dry my hair, and I put on my pajamas. I make sure to set my alarm at 5:00 so that I could go on a run.
