Chapter 3 - The Greatest Dad

"Jessica told me to take this sketch to Dawson's company group. I'm sure she will be difficult for me again."

Alexa took a deep breath. She didn't expect to meet the woman who took her husband seven years ago.

Alexa couldn't refuse Jessica's request as her client. She doesn't want Starry Pearl company to be affected by his personal problems with Jessica.

Alexa returned to her room. She was surprised when she opened the door because Erick was not there.

"Erick?"

Alexa looked for her son in the bathroom, under the table, even behind the cupboard. But still, Alexa couldn't find Erick's whereabouts.

"My son is missing!" Alexa started to panic and shed tears. "Assistant Yasmine... Didn't I ask her to look after my son? Where is she now?" Alexa turned around and left the room.

"Mommy, I'm here!" Erick exclaimed. He ran to hug Alexa with a big smile.

Instead of being happy and hugging Erick back, Alexa scolded her son. "Didn't Mom tell you? Don't go anywhere without Mom or Aunt Yasmine's permission!"

"Sorry, Mom. I won't repeat it."

Alexa took Erick's hand and sat him on the sofa. She took some picture books and snacks. Then she placed them on the table.

"Read this book. Until Mom comes back, you can't leave this sofa. Understand?"

With a sullen face, Erick answered, "I understand."

After that, Alexa locked the door to her room and met Yasmine's assistant.

"Assistant Yasmine, why did you leave my child alone? He just disappeared," said Alexa.

"Sorry, Mrs. Alexa. I have work from the boss that needs to be finished immediately. I've also told Erick not to go anywhere."

Alexa understands the work of Yasmin's assistant, who is as busy as she is. Assistant Yasmine is innocent. Erick was too naughty and didn't want to listen to his orders.

"That's okay. I want to go to Dawson's company now. I ask you again to see Erick in my room occasionally. I've locked the door so he doesn't run away again," explained Alexa.

"Yes, Mrs. Alexa."

"Director Scott, the results are out."

"Let me see!" Christiano immediately took the DNA test results from Secretary Luna.

The relationship between these two people is father and son.

Christiano gulped nervously.

"That boy... He's really my son?" Christiano clenched his left fist and exclaimed. "Thank God. Finally, I have children!"

Secretary Luna glared at her boss's attitude.

"I'll be gone for a moment. Please replace me to take company matters first," Christiano ordered his secretary.

Christiano went to the company where Alexa worked, opposite his company.

"When I was drunk and staying at a hotel, I accidentally slept with a woman."

Christiano recalled an incident seven years ago when an unknown woman lay unconscious on the bed in the hotel room Christiano had booked.

"Close this building. No one can leave here!" Christiano gave orders to several of his bodyguards.

"Yes, sir!"

"What happened?" The Director of the company owner came out when he heard the commotion in the lobby.

"Isn't he Christiano Scott?"

"Yes, he is the richest businessman in this country!"

"What is Director Scott doing here?"

All the company employees whispered to each other.

"Where are Alexandra Osmond and her son now?" Christiano asked.

Ting!

Before anyone had time to answer Christiano's question, the lift door's sound opening became the center of everyone's attention.

"Mom, why are you back?"

"Mom's client isn't at the company, so let's just go home."

Alexa and Erick got out of the elevator.

"Something seems strange. Why are there so many people gathered here?" Alexa muttered.

"Catch that kid!" shouted Christiano.

"This is bad! Erick, let's run!" Alexa grabbed Erick's hand and ran away from the bodyguards.

Alexa was about to enter the elevator to escape, but unfortunately, the elevator door had already closed.

Alexa turned around and looked at the bodyguards who surrounded her. "Who are you? What do you want?"

Christiano walked over to Alexa. "I want your child."

"Crazy man! Get away!" shouted Alexa while kicking Christiano's leg.

Ting!

The elevator doors opened again, and Alexa immediately dragged Erick in, but her son remained silent and gave Christiano a helping hand.

"Daddy."

Christiano held Erick's tiny hand. It made Alexa angry again.

"Dare to snatch my child in public? What a shameless man!"

"Shut up! I'm not a child kidnapper!" Christiano took a piece of paper from behind his jacket pocket and handed it to Alexa. "Erick is my son!"

Alexa reads the DNA test results listed on the paper. Immediately, tears came out of her eyes, between happy, touched, and sad.

"So, he is the man who was at the hotel seven years ago?" Alexa muttered. She threw the paper in her hand at Christiano's face. "No matter who you are, I still won't give Erick to you!"

"Mom, Dad, don't fight again." Erick interrupted his parents' argument.

"Erick, come with Dad."

"Erick, let's go home with Mom."

Alexa and Christiano try to persuade Erick.

"Alexandra Osmond, how dare you break your promise!" Jessica suddenly appeared amidst the commotion. She wanted to confront Alexa for not carrying out her assigned tasks.

"Director Dawson himself didn't want to meet me deliberately. Why is Mrs. Dawson blaming me?" Alexa answered.

"Dare to answer?" Jessica walked towards Alexa and raised her hand, preparing to hit Alexa.

"You can't hurt my Mom!" Erick snapped and immediately stood in front of Alexa to block Jessica.

"Where does this insolent child come from?" Jessica was about to pull Erick's hand, but Christiano quickly pushed Jessica until she fell.

"Who are you? How dare you interfere with our problems!" Jessica looked up. "Wait! You... Director Scott?" Jessica glared and quickly stood up. She gave Christiano a friendly smile. "Hello, I'm Jessica James from CJ company."

"It doesn't matter who you are. Within three seconds, you must leave here immediately." Christiano throws Jessica out.

"Sorry, Director Scott. I'll excuse myself." Jessica's running, leaving Luxeus company. She feared Christiano would threaten CJ's company.

"Daddy is great!" Erick exclaimed happily. "Dad can protect Mom from that evil woman!"

Christiano carried Erick, then stretched out his hand towards Alexa. "Come with me."

Alexa was still stunned and didn't know how to respond. She was utterly shocked by the events she had just experienced.

Christiano Scott, a wealthy businessman in her country, is the man who slept with her seven years ago, and Erick is their son.

Alexa nodded in agreement and went home with Christiano. She had no reason to refuse Director Scott's invitation.

"You cowardly woman! Your guts are massive to approach Director Scott! I will spread your disgrace all over the media!"
