"I understand that you are angry with me and my son," Mrs. Whitaker says as she sits down and arranges her skirt gracefully.
There isn't enough room for everyone to sit so Tara, Tammy, and Carol remain standing.
Mrs Whitaker continues talking.
"We all have been wronged in one way or another but we have to learn to forgive and move on. Hatred makes people bitter and unpleasant. I know you also want to be with my son. Don't rob yourself of happiness because of pride."
It is true that I have never stopped loving Frank and I never will, but I don't like the way she is talking to me. Frank caused our parents' death and she is saying my behavior towards him is because of pride? Unbelievable.
