🌑 Chapter 2: The Stranger’s Secret
Aria woke to the sound of rain tapping softly on stone.
She wasn’t in the forest anymore.
She was lying on a velvet bed, surrounded by flickering candles and walls carved from black marble.
Her heart raced.
Then she saw him — Lucien, standing by the window, his red eyes glowing faintly in the dark.
“You shouldn’t be alive,” he said quietly, without turning around.
“The mark on your arm… it’s ancient magic.”
Aria looked down — a silver crescent moon burned faintly on her skin.
She touched it, and for a moment, she saw flashes —
wolves running under the moonlight,
blood on Lucien’s hands,
and her own face crying out beneath the red moon.
“Who are you?” she whispered.
Lucien finally turned, his voice heavy with centuries of secrets.
“I am the last of the Bloodborn… and you, Aria, carry the Moon’s curse.”
Before Aria could answer, a deep growl echoed from outside.
The air shifted. The candles flickered.
Lucien’s eyes darkened.
“He’s here.”
Aria rushed to the window — through the mist, she saw a massive black wolf prowling near the gates.
But when its golden eyes met hers, something inside her heart pulled tight — not fear, but recognition.
The wolf slowly shifted…
and in the silver light stood Kael, the Alpha of the Moon Pack.
“You don’t belong to him, Aria,” Kael said, his voice rough and full of emotion.
“Your blood calls to me.”
Lucien stepped in front of her, fangs glinting.
“She’s bound to me by blood.”
Kael growled,
“And by moonlight, she’s mine.”
Lightning split the sky — and for the first time, Aria realized the truth.
She was the bridge between the vampire and the werewolf world…
and the key to a prophecy that could destroy them all
