Hades POV
Years, hundreds of years have passed since I am in this world. Out of which, 556 years have passed since I turned eighteen, the age where you find your chosen one, the one destined only for you. As a vampire, you do not have one if you are turned, but if you are born as a vampire, you can smell and sense your chosen one when you turn eighteen. Werewolves, on the other hand, find theirs when they are twenty-one years old, yet again, those who are turned do not get one.
So I waited, waited for years to find my mate. I roamed around, went to different packs, and even mingled with the human world, to find her. But she was nowhere to be found. We, vampires, stop aging after twenty-eight, while werewolves stop aging at twenty-five. I was a hybrid, or as many used to call it back in those days, an abomination, hence I stopped aging at twenty-six. My mother was a Lycan, while my dad was the then vampire king. I had both blood and the first child, which made me the most powerful creature on Earth. Nowadays, lycans are very rare. The only other lycan I know is my sister Astrid and her mate, Konstantine. Your chosen one is turned into whatever you are. Oscar, my younger brother, Astrid's twin, is a vampire and so is his mate, Agnes.
I was busy with the new human girl, who was just a blood bag. Some of these girls become my bed warmers, but that is it. Every vampire needs to feed every two months, the older you are the better your control towards blood lust. Yet one has to feed every three months. Other than that, we can feed on human food, it is nutritional even for us. I was enjoying my dinner when Solomon came into my office, without knocking. If it was anyone else, I would have killed them, but Solomon is my closest friend, and also very serious when needed. Like me, he has not found his chosen one yet. I found Solomon in a cave some two centuries ago, left to die.
"Our spy is back with important news," Solomon said in a monotone.
"Can you come back in a few minutes?" I asked him.
"He says it's extremely important," Solomon replies, once again in a monotone. I get him, he has been through a lot.
Bidding away the girl, I smoothed my clothes and followed Solomon out. I swear the spy is going to die if it's not important. I am the supernatural king, he had better not waste my time.
"Speak", my voice booming through the courtroom, and if possible our guy started shaking even more.
"I withhold some valuable information for you, your majesty," he spoke with his head bowed down.
"It has come to my notice, that apparently there is a human living with the witches, in the Lamia coven", he continued. That piqued my interest. It was a strict rule that no human was to come in contact with any supernaturals, except chosen ones. It was known for a fact that witches do not have any chosen ones, they can, however, be someone's chosen one.
Sometime later, the spy was guided out of the mansion, which I had zoned out for a minute. I looked up and found Czar standing there waiting for my next command. Czar was Ryker's chosen one. Ryker was my third in command after Solomon and also Solomon's brother.
"Send them a letter regarding the execution of the human," I said and left the courtroom. The Lamia coven is the biggest and most powerful coven in the territory, and also the oldest. They know better than going against me.
A WEEK LATER
I pushed the woman off me and got up to head towards the bathroom. Today is the day I visit the Lamia coven. After receiving the letter, Frederic Ashman, leader of the coven, wrote back a letter regarding the human to be harmless and whatnot. I then decided to visit the coven on behalf of someone else. My decision has already been made. The human is going to die. In fact, I plan on killing her in front of the coven, so people know better than to go against me.

One of these days, I am going to kill Oscar and Czar. All through breakfast they kept on getting on my nerves. Who would believe that they are terrifying soul tormentors? Shame!! I made one mistake in telling them, that I had a tingly feeling inside me. Actually, there were two mistakes, one telling them this, and the second, making them my closest people. Jokes aside, these few people are the only people I trust in this whole world. They have all gone through a lot, just like me.
It was almost time for me to leave. Ryker came in telling me that the royal carriage was ready. Usually, Solomon or Ryker accompany me, but today Astrid and Agnes were going to come with me. Clearing my mind, I started the journey, yet my mind was hazy. My wolf, Caspian, kept howling inside my head. My heart was in a frenzy. To top it all off, Astrid and Agnes kept on giving me weird looks. One growl from Caspian, and found both of them submitting. Sister or not, you do not disrespect me.
I was already running late and so distracted that I never realized that we had reached there. As soon as I got down, I was met by a human. She was standing in the front, with the coven leader. Apparently, the leader's wife found the human as a baby. abandoned in the forests. I was about to order to step forward to rip her heart out when her eyes met mine. Immediately she looked down, fast but late enough for me to kill her. It was forbidden to look me in the eye. Yet everything in me was stopping me from killing her. To top it off, my heart started beating rapidly. Her green eyes, like the forest, had me hypnotized in a trance.
"The human girl is coming with me to my palace." I declared, without leaving the room for any further discussion. Quite a few murmurs could be heard around the coven members. Before I could turn back and step inside the carriage, a petite girl rushed in front of the human,
"You cannot take her", she said, her voice all squeaky. I looked at the girl who dared to defy me. She was a witch, no doubt. I never even realized that Caspian had let out a roar, terrifying the soul out of her body.
"My apologies, Your Majesty, but I request you not to take my sister." She was visibly shaking. Not only had she raised her voice at me, but she was also lying. The human was abandoned in the forest. That thought alone was enough to dampen my mood further. Who in their sane mind abandons a baby? I was about to put her in her place by killing her when I looked beside her towards the human. She had not looked up once since our minute eye contact. She was tightly gripping the witch's arm, even her lips were moving. At least someone was smart in this coven. I looked around and found everyone looking at me. I stepped back into my carriage and ordered him to return, but not before announcing,
"The girl can come too."
Although I had added 'can', everyone knew it was an order. Agnes stood behind along with Astrid to make sure the girls tagged along. On my way, I informed Agnes to put them in the cells underground.
On my way back to the palace, I could not help but keep thinking about my encounter with the human girl. The way she kept nibbling her lips, made me want to pull her against me and capture her lips with mine. The thought alone had my pants straining. I groaned, knowing that I would need a release as soon as I reached the palace.

It has been a week since I had those girls brought in. They were still in the cells, which had Caspian agitated. Not only me but also Solomon. He had even been a bit restless for a few days. Hence, I decided that it was finally time for me to go meet them and then decide what to do with them.
On my way towards their cells, I smelled the most intoxicating smell. Like summer. Fresh, cool, a bit of beach. Mixed with it was the smell of a human. It was the human I was smelling. As I kept walking toward the smell, Caspian got more restless.
When I reached the cell door which had her captivated in this hell-like place, I found her sleeping with a disturbed look on her face, which irritated me a lot. I could see very clearly, but that did not necessarily mean that she could. After all, she was just a human. Caspian was silent all this while, so I called him out.
'Caspian?'
'MATE'.....
