"You are not to leave the mansion" his calm voice echoed through the courtroom.
Not many people were in here, only the Soul Tormentors. That was the name given to the seven. They were so deadly that even the strongest clans, packs, and even covens would step back. It was quite a shock that they readily accepted me and Adelina. Everyone in here was friendly, except his Royal Highness. He was moody, grumpy, rude, arrogant, and extremely irritating. It's been almost three months since I have been here, yet he does not trust me to go out of this mansion. This mansion is beautiful, no doubt, but to be trapped here for eternity is not something I was hoping for while coming here. Although I wasn't hoping to stay alive for such a long time, that's a bonus.
The amount of restraint I showed towards the king, should not have left me alive, yet here I am, still breathing. Adelina says that the king has a soft spot for me, which I highly doubt.
"Why not, your Majesty?" I snapped back. A few snickers could be heard, no doubt Oscar, Agnes, and Czar.
"She even spat the honors", Ryker added with a chuckle.
If the king ever decides to let my stupid rants go, these are the people who would cause my death. I could see the small frown forming on his otherwise stoic face. He slowly stands up to approach me, while I take this time to appreciate his beauty. I wouldn't lie and say that he wasn't good-looking. In fact, he was a Greek god. His curly black hair fell upon his thick bushy eyebrows. Long eyelashes hid his beautiful blue eyes. Sharp, angular features. Overall, he was something to gawk at, especially his lips. Plump lips. I wonder how they would feel on my lips. Will they be as soft as they seem, or will they be gentle? Ah! who am I lying to? The King doesn't have a gentle bone in his body.
I must have been staring at his lips for a long time, as I could see a small smirk forming on his lips. By the time I looked down, I could feel his hot breath on my face. He was close, very close. His hot breath was sending shivers down my back, butterflies running around my stomach, my heart beating so fast that it was all I could hear. And that wasn't even the most embarrassing part. Everyone in this room, except Adelina, had the super hearing, which meant they could very well hear my heart breathing rapidly.
I looked back to meet his eyes, only to find his whole demeanor changed. His eyes no longer held amusement, but hatred and disgust. So intense it was that it made my knees weak, and my throat let out a small whimper. It was directed towards me. He has shown impatience, arrogance, and at times even been extremely rude to me, but this hatred towards me was something extremely foreign to me.
"Do not ever question or insult my authority, I would not hesitate to finish your meaningless life." His voice was cold and lacing with poisonous hatred, striking my heart with every word. Without sparing another moment or glance at me, he stormed out of the courtroom.
Of course, I meant nothing to him. He was Hades Alexander Athanasios, the almighty hybrid supernatural king, while I was a mere human. Why did I ever think that I would ever be of any importance to him? I quietly went back to my room, not wanting to meet their pitying gaze. I could not stop myself from replaying the scene in my head, no matter how many times I tried. This was a sudden change in his attitude towards me. Maybe he finally got tired of me fighting back all the time.
This change in his behavior had hurt me immensely, yet my stupid heart could not bring it to hate him or be angry at him. My poor heart was simply hurt. I had always thought that maybe I meant something to him by keeping up with my rants and keeping me alive for so long. Now that the illusion was torn apart, my poor heart was simply hurt. When all my efforts to stop thinking about him were futile, I decided to take a nap. After all, being lazy and lying around all day is something I am excellent at.

"Angelo!!!!", Lisa shouted after getting down from the passenger seat.
"Angelo?" I turned towards Lisa because I'm pretty sure that was Hades, Hades from my visions. Although Hades should be dead by now.
"Yes Percy, that's Angelo Ramson, the man with whom we are doing business and also the man you almost killed". Lisa wasn't being rude, she was just teasing me, but that did not stop me from going red.
"Angelo", he offered me his hand to shake. Yet I was not feeling the same. I had no butterflies creating a mess in my stomach or sparks igniting from where our skin touched. I was so sure that those visions were true, and Nyx was me in some past life or something. But now nothing felt the same. This was Hades, although with a different name, but I was sure of it. Maybe that girl Nyx was my ancestor or something. After all, vampires, witches, and werewolves are all fantasy.
"Would you like us to drop you off somewhere?" Lisa asked Angelo. It even feels weird calling him Angelo.
"Wouldn't want to be a burden now."
"Of course not, we owe you this." Lisa persuaded him.
All the way to Angelo's house, Lisa kept giving me weird looks. It was the same look she gave whenever she wanted my opinion on men he liked. Shaking my head, I focused on driving as I had no intention of knocking off someone else. No matter how much I tried, I couldn't shake the uneasy feeling. There was something wrong with this whole ordeal. I just wasn't getting good vibes.
After dropping off Angelo, Lisa wouldn't stop talking about him. Like how good-looking he was, or how perfect he was at everything. He was good-looking, I would give him that. Anyone would be smitten by him, yet I couldn't bring myself to like him. He just gave off an uncomfortable vibe.
.
It's been two days since that incident with Angelo. His visits to my house have been more frequent. He stares at me with a mischievous glint in his eyes and an arrogant smile. I really hope he doesn't think I'm into him or something.
I was sitting in my favorite diner, munching hungrily on my burger and fries, when a shadow loomed over me. I looked up to find a middle-aged woman staring intently at me.
"May I help you?" I asked her to snap her out of the gaze.
"Persephone!"
"Yes, that's me" I replied back with politeness. Without letting me say anything more, she sat down on the seat in front of me.
"Um..excuse me?" That's it, she was extremely weird.
"Mother was right, you are back," she said, without bothering to answer my questions.
"Look, I do not get this excitement of yours, but I'm pretty sure I do not know you, and you-"
"You are Persephone, right? Persephone Nyx Angelos?" she cut me off mid-sentence.
"Yes, bu-"
"The Queen of the Supernaturals?"
.
.
.
"Persephone?" the woman snapped me out of my daze.
I abruptly got up from my seat. This situation is extremely confusing. The visions and dreams themselves are a handful, I don't need someone else coming and confusing me. Queen of supernaturals, seriously? I don't have a sophisticated or elegant bone in me. In what fantasy land do they live? And she looked old enough to still believe in fantasies. Supernaturals, like they are real. The dreams, no matter how beautiful and sophisticated, are nothing more than dreams. Vampires aren't real.
On my way out of the diner, I bumped into someone. Tingles ran through my body, my heart creating havoc. I looked up to find those beautiful blue eyes, staring at me with longing and adoration. Something was different. He was the same as my visions, and something told me he wasn't Angelo. He was,
"Hades."
