ROSALIE POV Strangely, today I woke up in a luxurious apartment that I had dreamed of. However, it's even stranger that I can't remember how I moved into this apartment from my previous home. The only reason I remember is because my father knew about the house, which is why I decided to move. When I went to the bathroom, I was a little surprised to see my eyes so puffy. What exactly happened to me last night? My head was dizzy, my feet were full of blisters, and now my eyes were puffy. It was strange, regardless of all that. I went to take a shower and prepare myself to go to college. As I was choosing the necklace accessories I wanted to wear, I saw a crescent-shaped necklace. Again, I was stunned, trying to remember whose necklace this was and how I got it. "Damn, what the hell? Why does it feel like my brain just reset?" I muttered as I picked up another necklace to wear. As I walked towards the campus, I kept feeling like something was wrong with me. Like, something was missing. Something very important and dear to me. I don't know if it was an object or a person, but they weren't with me anymore. When I met Mary, we greeted each other and chatted all the way to campus. "Your necklace is different," Mary said. I was a little surprised. "Which necklace do I wear most of the time?" I wondered. "I don't know; I can't remember. But it seems like you've been wearing a crescent moon necklace a lot lately," Mary said. "Oh, really? I can't remember how I bought that necklace. It looks very expensive," I said. "You said that time; someone gave it to you. Because you looked like his wife," Mary said. I just nodded in agreement without knowing if it was true or not. While walking in the hallway for Mr. George's class, I bumped into Brilly. I still felt sorry for her because of the incident where I rejected her love. During Mr. George's lesson earlier, I constantly felt like something was off; something was missing from my life, and I couldn't figure out what it was. Every time I saw Mr. George, I wanted to remember something, but somehow I couldn't. "Ms. Fawnia, can I ask to see you in the library after the end of today's schedule?" said Mr. George. My daydream was broken when Mr. George said that. I nodded my head and gave him a small smile. "Of course, sir," I said. Mr. George walked out smiling, and the class started to get noisy because Mr. George's class had finally ended. I still had two more classes scheduled, but for some reason my laziness had returned, while Mary was already rushing to the next class, saying that we were not in the same class. While packing up my things, Brilly suddenly walked up to me. Bringing me a bouquet of dandelions. Is she kidding? How could she give me such wild flowers? However, I heard that these flowers had a deep meaning. "For me?" I asked, pointing at myself. Brilly nodded, her gaze looking sad. Damn, what's wrong with people today? Is there something wrong with me? Or is there some terrible news about me that I forgot to mention on the campus forum? However, it seemed like all of that was impossible. "Do you know the meaning of the flower?" asked Brilly. I shook my head for all I knew. This flower symbolizes love, but on the other hand, there is another meaning that I don't know. "Dandelions are like flowers of hope," said Brilly. "You're giving me hope?" I asked as I held up the bouquet. However, for a moment, she shook her head. That left me confused. "Not me; someone gave them to you. I'm just trying to convey it. I honestly hate having to say things like this to the person I love. However, it feels like she's more compatible with you," Brilly said. "Are you going crazy, Brilly? Don't you know that I've never been in a relationship with anyone?" I said. "Damn, I want to laugh so badly. Why can't I? Basically, I'm just saying hi to you," Brilly said as she excused herself. Meanwhile, I hurriedly ran around to the next class. While running in the hallway, I passed by a man wearing a black hoodie. I should have felt normal, but somehow I felt like I knew him. It was strange when I managed to stare into his hazel-colored eyeballs, like there was something connected between me and him. "Damn, I'm late!" I muttered as I continued to run towards the next class without thinking about him. You really forgot about me, Rosalie. *** "Excuse me, can I see Mr. George? He said he'd like to see me after all my classes are over," I said to the usual library guard. "Oh, he said you could meet him at your usual reading spot," she said. "Alright then, thanks for the info. Have a nice day," I said as I walked towards the place where I used to spend half my life reading books. The sight of Mr. George there with his laptop in view made me take a seat right in front of him, who seemed to be very busy. "What did you call me, sir?" I asked. "Oh, right! Just a moment. I want to give you something," Mr. George said. He rummaged through his bag and pulled out a book with a dark brown cover. It looked very old for a book from this day and age, so he placed it on the table and handed it to me. "For me?" I asked. Seeing Mr. George nodding, I took the book, opened the first page, and looked at it. "A novel?" I asked. "Yes, it's an old book. However, I'm sure you'll like it. I will look forward to your reaction after reading this book," said Mr. George. "Why are you giving it to me? I'm getting suspicious," I said. Mr. George burst out laughing and left me a little stunned. When else would I see him laughing out loud like that? "You need it; consider it a favor from me. Oh, right! Someone gave you something," he said. Suddenly, I raised one eyebrow and saw him pull out a necklace box. "What's this?" I asked. "Someone gave it to me. Think of me as an intermediary," he said. I opened the box and saw another crescent-shaped necklace that was no less beautiful than the one in my house. When I lifted the necklace and showed it to Mr. George, he smiled. Unfortunately, I wanted to cry for no reason. All day, I felt like something was missing, and when I saw this necklace, I felt that something was missing. Will never come back to me until the time is right.
