"So, you really know her? Gosh, who would have thought that my daughter could sell herself to a man like you?" my dad said as he continued to pull on my long blonde hair. I did my best to rebel, even pulling out all the karate moves I'd learned at this crucial moment. However, somehow all those moves didn't work for my dad. Is Mark using his power on me again? I need to escape this hallucination he's created. My hand moved through the small bag that was still slung over my shoulder. I rummaged through its contents and found a small object that I always carry with me wherever I go. Knife, and when I managed to get it, I immediately scratched Mark's leg and managed to make him unfocused. Suddenly, at that moment, I kicked my dad and tried to run away at full speed. The scream after scream and curse after curse that my dad threw at me while chasing me made me think, where did Jasper go? Is he angry now that I asked him about his powers? Because of my panic, I didn't know where I was running. Shady trees started appearing more and more every time I ran. That's when I realized that I was running in the park near the campus. In the crowd, I kept running through the crowd of people to escape from my father. I didn't want to be caught by him again. Just imagining it gave me Goosebumps. At that moment, I felt someone pulling me from the right, which made me scream for a moment. When I saw Elle in front of me, I felt like I could breathe a sigh of relief. "Oh, God. At least I survived for a moment," I muttered as I gently stroked my chest, hoping my heartbeat would subside. "Is that old man your father?" asked Elle, pointing at my dad, who was dazed in the middle of a crowd of people in the park. I could only nod; my breathing still laboured from running around incessantly. Soon Elle grasped my hand as she closed her eyes. I didn't know what she was doing. However, she did this for fifteen minutes. "Mark, what exactly is wrong with you? Why does he want you dead so badly?" Elle murmured. "You think I know? I never expected to meet your brother Jasper," I said as I continued to take breaths to make my body feel lighter. "Something is blocking me from seeing your future. I can't see your future," Elle said. "No future; that means I'm going to die in the near future," I said. Elle seemed to disagree with my words, as one eyebrow rose as soon as I finished my sentence. "Why are you always so pessimistic in your life? You always assume that death will come to you soon. Even though that's not necessarily the case," Elle said, annoyed. "Because it's better that way, isn't it? I'm just causing more disaster for you guys. Even to my surroundings," I retorted. Honestly, that's how I've been feeling these past few days. Seeing Mary was much more successful than when she was with me. It makes me wonder: am I really just a disaster to everyone else? As Elle approached, her pupils turned a deep shade of red. Making me a little surprised by the sudden change. "Making Jasper suffer again because of your stupid actions? I won't let it happen. Please understand, Rosalie. If you didn't have a reason to be happy before or to live at all, then you do now," she explained. "Jasper needs you. My brother needs you to live his life. For five centuries, he has lived like a corpse. Rosalie, your life is worth more than you can imagine," Elle explained. I blinked my eyes. Why did she suddenly say that? After all, I don't really intend to die now. I still have many things to try in my short life. "Is Jasper hurt by my question?" I asked spontaneously. Even though I had been hiding with him, Jasper never found me with his brother. Even Mark himself had gone somewhere. Elle was silent; it seemed like my question hit the mark. How much does her power mean to Jasper? Even though I only asked that briefly, so which part of it hurt him? "Is this topic very sensitive to him?" I asked. Elle remained silent; her eyes fixed on me. D*mn, it seems that her silence was not because of my previous question. Rather, the vision she saw suddenly, after regaining consciousness, immediately pulled me away from the previous hiding place. Drive towards their house. I could see Jasper wounded in the front room of their house. Not like a normal wound. This wound is very severe if I, as a human, were to experience it. Someone unknown to me was right in front of Jasper. Trying to heal the man in an instant. "Elle, why did you bring her here? I told you to look after her, didn't I?" annoyed Ethan. "Mark doesn't move alone. He brought Rosalie's father to make this girl suffer. He will never stop, Ethan." I didn't understand why or what they were talking about. Guarding me? From Mark? So why did Jasper get hurt so badly like that? When I tried to get closer, Cassandra held me back and shook her head. "Why, I just want to check on him," I said, trying to force my hand. But Cassandra still wouldn't move out of my way. "Rosalie, he got hurt because he was trying to protect you," Cassandra said. . I laughed. Protecting me from what? It was even Elle who helped me. "Cassandra, what do you mean? He wasn't there when I ...." "Exactly. You're lucky you only met Mark and your father. Because all the troops that Mark brought were taken out by Jasper. Unfortunately, no one knew that Mark was teaming up with other races to fight us," Rosalie explained. I could see Jasper standing right behind Cassandra, staggering. Despite being stoned by his specialist, he still couldn't stand up straight like he used to. His footsteps felt very heavy as I watched him. He stepped towards me as he traced my entire body with his eyes. "You're not hurt, are you? Elle said you were grabbed by your father," Jasper said. "Hey, worry about yourself first, Jasper. I can take the pain," I said as I stroked his blood-stained cheek. "I can bear it, but I can't bear the regret if you get hurt because I didn't take care of you," Jasper said. I felt like crying when I heard his words. How could he say that when I saw him bleeding from head to toe? He smiled bitterly at me as he wiped away my tears. "Don't cry, Rosalie. I'm fine," Jasper said. "You say as if the wound you have is just a small scratch. I'm sorry; I've always been a pain in the as to you and your family," I said as I continued to cry. But my tears were heavier when I saw Jasper faint right after kissing my cheek. I will survive from now on, I thought.
