We were still in the same place, but not with the same conversation. Rosalie asked me if I would be happy to leave my family for her. Not a single word came out of my mouth. My mind screamed that I would be very happy, but my heart said otherwise.
As we hunted for more snacks there, I just laughed and reacted appropriately to appreciate my time with her. I know she realizes that I change in a matter of seconds, but I also want to wander with my mind.
To think about the best decision that I would at least not regret, and that would be good for all parties. For Rosalie or for my family. However, I also didn't see how I could stay with Rosalie without getting caught by the elders. Their spies are more numerous than the number of vampires in general.
However, if I take the decision that the elders give, It's the same as killing myself slowly. Of course, I don't want to see Rosalie die with her blood sucked out of her body. Even just imagining it gave me goosebumps.
"Jasper, can we go home now?" Rosalie asked.
The question broke my daydream instantly, and I turned to look at Rosalie's face. It seems like she can't stand my increasingly cold attitude towards her after the incident earlier. Even before parting, Sudha made a certain distance with her.
"I hope you're willing if I take you to one more place," I said.
It looked like Rosalie was weighing her decision when she heard my question. Seeing that nod of her head made me laugh a little and hold her hand tightly again. We're going to a very popular place there, but if I invite Rosalie there, That means I'm ready to let her go.
"Rosalie, close your eyes; we're going to make this night more special than the last," I said as I closed her eyes and led her along.
Sorry, Rosalie, I thought.

ROSALIE POV
I didn't know how to respond when I saw the place Jasper was referring to. It was a lake full of lanterns. I liked request lanterns because I could see a handful of requests written on the sides of the floating lanterns. I wanted to try it so badly that I forgot that Jasper was the one who brought me here.
"You're too excited," he said, carrying two lanterns after leaving me for a while.
"Is there a lantern festival going on?" I asked.
"No, some people here deliberately make lanterns when they feel confused, sad, or angry. It makes them feel better and relieves them from worrying too much," Jasper said.
I wondered for a moment: why did he bring me here? Is he emotional because I questioned his decision to marry me? Is he sad because he's thinking the same thing? Really, but I didn't mean to offend her. I just want her to regret everything she did later.
"I hope you find the answers to the questions you seek, Jasper. I'm sorry if my presence has been a burden to you," I said as I wrote my request on the lantern. Meanwhile, Jasper had anchored his lantern first with a series of requests that I didn't know about.
"Rosalie, your presence is a gift to me. No one would say you're a burden on my life but yourself. Let's change your mindset, Rosalie. I love you; I really do. And, I will never let you go," Jasper explained.
I believed him; Jasper couldn't be lying. Right? I believed him after successfully writing the last wish. It seems like only my lantern contains a number of requests that don't make sense.
"What did you write on your lantern? It looks like almost all sides are filled with your writing," Jasper said.
"I asked for a lot of requests that sounded impossible. However, one of them is to keep remembering you, no matter what," I said as I looked into Jasper's face.
Right before someone hit me quite hard, I could see Jasper's face change from sadness to surprise as he felt something that seemed unusual. Luckily, he managed to pull me up before that person. Okay, it wasn't an ordinary human. It was a Merman.
It looks like he was thrown from a distance because he deliberately wanted to take me into the cold lake. Luckily, Jasper immediately pulled me away and looked around; he was looking for his target. Really, if I could choose to start a career as an actress, I would prefer a romance movie over action or mystery. Although both are my favorite genres,.
At least I won't be like now, where I have to run around with an unclear route. Especially when Jasper suddenly let go of my hand and tried to run in a different direction from me. I tried to pull his hand away and asked for an explanation.
"Rosalie, listen to me okay? Run as far as you can into the forest. Try not to look back, even if someone calls out to you. Either by my voice or a voice you recognize," Jasper said as he kissed my forehead.
"Jasper, explain to me what's going on? Why are you suddenly so freaked out?!" I asked.
Both of his hands restrained my face from looking at his face - more precisely, his eyes that were starting to turn dark red. The eyes I had always feared from Jasper. "Rosalie, please. I'll never explain any of this if you don't start running from now on," he said as he pushed me towards the forest.
Damn it, he's telling me to cross a forest I don't even know what's in it? I thought.
As he pushed me, I suddenly started with small steps that made me enter the forest and changed my pace when I saw Jasper disappear from my sight. My steps turned into big ones when I heard Jasper's call earlier.
I tried to find a way to get out of this forest with my feelings alone. It's lucky I didn't choose high heels. If I had chosen those shoes to go with Jasper. I can be sure that my feet would have been banged up by now. I actually wanted to look back, to see who was calling me. Because it turned out that the voice I heard was changing, and he even imitated my mother's voice to call me for the last time.
"Rosalie, you ran in the wrong direction, child. Mommy is here," said the mysterious voice.
I increased my speed even more as I screamed. "S*it! My mom's dead don't you know that? F*ck m
y mom, I never even heard my mom call me Rosalie, you bastard! Let me go," I shouted as I kept running. When I reached the end of the forest, I could see some lights.
Jasper, please keep your word. I have a feeling you're going to leave me, I thought.
